Extremely valuable insights and advice on how to get organized (and what has kept you from not getting organized earlier)
This book is so good since it is able to combine both the theoretical insight as well as the actual advice on how you should apply that insight to your own life in order to get better organized. It contains a thorough framework (including scientific basis of how your brain actually works) on how you should approach getting organized and gives very good examples for each level. I have read the book really quick as it is easy and fun to read and I think in a couple of months I'll read it again, just to make sure I'm following all the advices they've given. Better than any other book I've read on this topic, as this book only (at least for the books I've read) gives you a scientific framework with good pointers on how to use the insight to your own benefit, instead of explaining an (often arbitrary) method on getting organized invented by some kind of guru (which often completely bypasses the logic of your brain). Safe investment of both your time and money.

organize better
This is a book with great information and thank goodness there is a summary in the Appendix. It is ironic that the book is not visually designed to appeal to the basically disorganized mind. The content is obviously deeply researched and believe me the book will be perused for its valuable insights. Thanks very much for offering these important concepts. Additionally, I purchased the book to assist my college age son in his efforts to become more organized and find many of the references involve spouses and significant others ...more geared to someone a bit older and more settled in a workplace. Nevertheless, thank you for the informative read.

some helpful tips by the end
Overall, I gained some helpful tips to help organize my life. However, this book jumps around too much, especially for the first two-thirds, that it was sometimes tough to follow. For about half of the book, Dr. Hammerness kept coming back to ADHD and how it hinders organization. I did find myself relating to many of the ADHD traits and this shed some understanding on some of my problems. But often the tips to deal with these problems were unclear. Also, for most of the book, Coach Meg came across as, we'll a coach, who tried to motivate by saying just to stay positive and try harder. Near the end of the book, she used some examples of her patients and that clarified her tips greatly. Overall, a decent book, but one that could have been much better.

Understand and implement high-level, goal-oriented organization
High-level, goal-oriented organization. Very helpful to understand the aspects of our brains that both help and hinder high-level organization and productivity. I found the coaching tips good but some seem a bit basic. Overall, this book has helped me implement ideas to prioritize and stay focused.

For my personality this book was great.
This book really resonated with me and I found it very easy to incorporate what they said. As noted in other reviews this book is broken into six areas or rules. Examples are included for each rule by both authors as well as steps to take to help implement those rules. Now that I have completed it I want to read it again to see if I can more effectively incorporate everything. There are a lot of self help/organization books out there. This one is worth reading because it might resonate with you. If it does not that is ok, try something else. Just that process helps you improve.

Sadly, I cannot seem to finish reading this book....
It's ironic, but unless and until I put into practice what this author is telling me, this book does me little good. I am currently struggling against a combination of inertia and habit. However, that being said...it is well thought out and a very well executed book. I applaud M. Moore for her clarity of thought, the complete simplicity she brings to what seems overwhelming to many of us, and especially the readability factor. I strongly suggest that anyone who knows they need to get organized begin by purchasing this book. Then, ACT ON IT!

Useful & easy to read
I appreciate the practical, achievable advise, though a but repetitive at times. Overall, I do recommend this book for getting organised mentally. Especially the advise about focusing on one key area first, then enjoying the ripple effects of confidence & success in other areas of your life. Makes change achievable, with an emphasis on happiness.

Helpful to an extent....
This book has helped me in some ways but it has mainly just backed up what I already knew. It wasn't the revelation I thought it would be but it has altered my viewpoint when it comes to multi-tasking and also feeling that I have to totally complete one job before I move to another - it is ok to swap around, if it means you organise your time better, and that can make you feel more productive!

Poor examples
While there a good coaching principles and tools, the examples are disturbingly and jarringly, typical, cis-het privileged life around people who see life as a series of events like marriage, having kids, employment. There's not much you will get out of it if you like examples and are look for more diversity(even within the cis het framework to include single, no-kids, and other types of chosen life stages. It took me three days to get past some examples to continue reading and absorb what is good in the book.
