This is a very nice knife and does its job. I am glad that I purchased it except for one small thing. The knife is one continuous blade, and the black handle is just painted on with a very thin coating of black paint which makes it feel like a handle. The paint is peeling off in little spots on the handle. It doesn't make any difference to the usefulness of the knife however. I purchased the knife three months ago, so haven't had it for years. I was surprised.

The knife arrived on time and was well packaged. My wife has been baking some wonderful loaves of artisan-type rye, white and whole wheat breads. They are very crusty, and we had experienced some difficulty finding a knife that could handle the crust. This knife worked extremely well, cutting through the crust with ease. I was searching for an excellent-quality knife at an affordable price, and this serrated bread knife beat my expectations. Not only has it sliced through harder breads with ease, but it is also great for cutting vegetables with soft skins, such as tomatoes.Before my product even arrived, Blue Key World sent PDFs letting me know how to properly care for my knife and use it correctly. So far so good! They also had a piece of paper in the pamphlet letting the customer know they care about quality, and would want to know if the customer was unhappy. They went above and beyond!

Nicely weighted and sharp. Very well-made.Update: After having used this knife for the better part of a year, I see that it is holding up well and is just as sharp as it was to begin with. I only sharpen my non-serrated knives; I know there's a technique for a serrated knife, but I'm not clear on how to do it--thankfully I don't have to just yet. This is by far my favorite bread knife ever. I hand wash it. It cuts through crusty, artisan bread, stale bread, fresh bread, you name it.

Fall is coming An I love using my bread maker to make fresh homemade bread. I have an old bread knife an I have no clue how to sharpen a saw edged knife. So when I saw this I was like I really could use a new bread knife. So glad I bought it. Like I said with fall coming I do baking of zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, fresh white bread (bread machine). My old knife used to rip up the bread as I cut it. Now with the blue key knife it just slides threw the knife so easily. I feel like I'm in a luxurious resturant.

Forget those plasticky Ginsu knives of our past--these knives from Blue Key World are far superior! They have beautifully honed, very sharp blades (be careful taking them out of the box!) and extremely comfortable, no-slip, rubber handles that feel great in my large hands. My Ginsu's are headed for my donation box. These knives are WAY better and frankly, a steal for the price! By the way, for those reviewers who say that they need "more force or pressure" to facilitate cutting action, I submit that they don't possess proper knife skills. :-)

Great utility knife. I cook a lot and use serrated knives for fruit as well as bread. This knife came out of the box pretty darn sharp and sliced my tomatoes as easily as it sliced the rolls the burgers were going on. Frequently serrated knives are quite dull. Not this one ! I also liked the cushy handle. It didn't slip when messy with tomatoes. YOU need this !

I finally gave in and spent the bucks for a bread knife - single use item. Oh, boy, what a thrill! But it was a pleasant surprise, much longer than I thought it would be and super sharp. Can use it for a whole bunch of stuff so I am pretty please I spent the bucks and have a longer knife for special occasions.
