I have only used it on the gas hob and highly recommend it. It’s nice and deep for making tasty toasties with plenty of fillings and it’s super easy to clean. I have even bought one for my friend.

This is ideal for me to use on my counter top cooker. It's no good for induction hobs, but if you have a solid hob or a direct flame available, it works perfectly fine. I only have two complaints. Firstly, the handle was broken upon unboxing. The box it came in wasn't damaged, so the quality control obviously failed at the packing stage. Plus, when it's on one side it sits slightly above the cooker hob on one side because it's unbalanced. I don't know if that's because of the damage to the handle, or if it's not designed to lie flat, but it's frustrating. Unfortunately, I needed to use this straight away, so I won't be able to ask for a refund or replacement product. It's going to do what I want, so I'll tolerate the problem. It's really why I marked it down two stars, though. Because it was a quality control issue, not a damaged in transit issue. The size is not large. Enough for a small toasted sandwich or piece of toast. The first item I toasted was a hot cross bun cut in half, and it toasted up nicely. It will take me a bit of time to find that sweet spot on the temperature control when in use, but overall it's very easy to use. The hot cross bun came out a little bit overdone for my tastes, but that's my fault because I should have checked it a bit sooner. The taste was nice enough. It definitely doesn't lose marks for that. I can see the ridges being a bit of a pain to clean, but again, if I season it like cast iron, it shouldn't be a problem. In fact, they recommend you season it before using it for the first time to help protect the non-stick surface. I chose this because I am on home oxygen, and appliances that create a spark or have an open heat source are dangerous to use around oxygen. I can ask other people in the household to toast things for me using an ordinary toaster, but this is going to give me some much needed independence from them. Especially useful for when I want some toast as part of my breakfast.
