Every gardener needs this!
Quick ship just as described. I have several of these and give them for gifts too. Much better than a trowel. It doesn't bend or break.

One of the most valuable gardening tools ever
This has been a go-to garden to for me as a professional gardener and all my crew. When new they are really sharp on the serrated side. Besides planting annuals and digging out weeds, you can scrape moss and weeds form cracks, uses as an emergency screwdriver, pry up bricks and turn around and use the handle to pack the dirt underneath, turn over silted in river cobbles, use to whack off the spent tops of a clmp of ornamental grass, etc. Even after dulling, the serrated side still cuts small roots and divides even tough perennial clumps.Originally these where called "hori-hori"--which means "knife-knife" in Japanese, and the handles were mostly wooden, often carved. I've used the wooden ones and they have the disadvantages of giving splinters, being more prone to weathering and cracking, and being difficult to clean (must oil). If decoratively carved, then there's a blood-blister potential

Amazing tool for weeding!
I love using this as my only weeding tool. So convenient and works well on tough roots! Amazing value- I've had it for years at the time of this review and by far my most used tool (outside of gloves).

Built to Last
My wife is an avid flower gardener. She had a soil knife like this for years. And lost it late last year. This soil knife is an exact replacement. And when handling it, it's obviously well thought out and well constructed. Barring a loss, this knife will serve her well - for years.Highly recommended toolShe's a happy gardener

I volunteer in a community garden and we all have this knife
If you’re a gardener this is your knife. Although I got pink so no one in thr garden takes mine by mistake.

A rugged alternative to a hand trowel
The blade is a useful size and shape with a saw-tooth edge and a smooth edge, a slightly curved blade and a well-shaped, high-visibility handle that has good safety shaping to stop your hand slipping down on to the blade.I have used it in stony soil to dig out weeds and have sawn through a couple of small branches with the serrated edge. The stainless steel blade is very stiff, which helps a lot when trying to lever large weed roots out of the ground. The blade when new was extremely sharp, and lethal to fingers; however, now that I have used it, the blade is no longer as sharp, and I think I could risk touching the blade with my fingers. This loss of sharpness is my only real criticism, as it suggests that the blade's steel is not the best. Beyond this, it would have been nice to have been offered a left-handed version with the serrated edge on the right.

The best gardening tool!
I would be lost without this tool. It's the first one I reach for.
