Very powerful blender
I decided to take it seriously and test the blender several different ways as that's what I would typically use it for when preparing different meals. The most recent one was this morning when making a milkshake. I was surprised that the blender was so powerful even on the lowest setting. It blended all my milkshake ingredients in no time, which made me really happy. Also, last week I was making a mushroom creamsoup, which included blending potatoes, mushrooms, garlic and some liquids together. Again, this immersion blender made it so easy as with the right piece I could use it to blend an entire soup. Then I also used a whisker thing for preparing a cake. This one requires a 10 minute of non stop blending to get all the air in those eggs and sugar. The blender didn't become hot, which I experienced with other blenders and I got the results I was expecting. The engine of the blender seems to be a really good quality.Last but not least, the main reason why I wanted this blender in particular is for the ability to make fresh ground chicken for the kotlets. I felt such a relief when this blender did a good job grinding the meat and not breaking on me.Now I get to enjoy so many meals I struggled to make before without this blender. I'm happy with this purchase.

Beats Ninja & Nutribullet Food Processors for Smooth Pesto
I actually bought this for 1 thing and really only 1 thing: to make cilantro pesto. My Black and Decker 8 cup food processor broke, and as it's a huge part of my daughter's diet - I set out to get a new food processor. Quick review of Amazon led me to buy a Ninja for $99. The Ninja was gorgeous and really well made, but lo and behold - several attempts at pesto produced grainy and/or sandy textured pesto. Yeecchh. I'm not sure if it was the way it blended the nuts or the way it did the cilantro (stems and all). But the only way to get the pesto even remotely done was to OVER process it. Then I tried the Nutribullet food processor ($119), which was also really nice and even came with this cool spiralizer disc. No instructions for it though, but once you figured it out that was an uber cool feature. The Nutribullet did slightly better than the Ninja, but did leave a slightly sandy or grainy texture. After 10 years of making pesto w/ no problems at all w/ a $35 Black and Decker cheapo machine, I was bewildered. I even tried 1 more Chefman 4 cup food processor with a special "up and down" motion - and the texture was about the same as the Nutribullet, so somewhat grainy, again.-My husband said he thought maybe the newer processors run at lower RPMs (and something about less torque?) - they are a LOT quieter than the Black and Decker - so we came up w/ the idea of a blender based food processor as a possible solution. I dragged out my old Cuisanart blender and tried the same ingredients in that - and wa-la, no more sandy or grainy texture. But, it was too smooth. To get everything blended you end up with sort of a pesto smoothie - somewhat frothy, and no texture at all, and that is also not a good result. The pesto should have texture to it! Just not one that is sandy, grainy, or frothy.I began looking at immersion blenders with food processors - and the first problem I found is that most of them offer a 500ML chopper, which is a bit more than 2 cups. So small... I actually bought this one because it advertised 860ML - but in the end I think that's not accurate. I think the other ones are 500ML to the fill line - and this one is the same size, they just include the space OVER the file line which is around 2/3 of the way up the bowl.So I was a bit disappointed that the bowl wasn't a bit bigger. But, guess what... this thing makes DELICIOUS pesto - the texture is perfect, and it's easier, faster, quieter, and better in many ways than the Black and Decker. And the bowl is so much easier to scrape the pesto out of, very little left behind. It's also far easier to clean. Overall it's pretty amazing - and my 9 year old autistic daughter loves to put the engine/lid thing on and run the blender to make the pesto. We're super careful but this part is easy for her to do.If you are bewildered like me at why modern food processors don't seem able to make smooth pesto or other things with nuts, cheese, greens, etc - give this little machine a try. We stuff the bowl up to the top w/ cilantro and it breaks it all down quickly and with less stopping to scrape than any other food processor from the past.I did try the immersion blender for a 'personal smoothie' and it worked ok but I'm not sure I'd use it much over the Nutribullet blender we have - although I did use the whisk thing for scrambled eggs and it seemed fine although the whisk is pretty wimpy. For $25 bucks (got a $10 discount coupon) not sure I expect much more.

So far so good!
I used the food chopper attachment to make falafel last week and it worked great! I have a food processor but it has so many parts to wash and is such a pain to take apart/put together, so I was really excited about this attachment. It was easy to clean afterwards and put back together. I used the immersion blender to make smoothies a couple days ago. I had to add more liquid as it was struggling to cut through the frozen fruit, but once it got going, it did a great job! Took a little longer than expected and my arm started to hurt a bit after making the 2nd smoothie, but I was able to finish all 3. Cleaning it was SO easy and fast! So much easier than cleaning my blender.Only issue I have is storing it and all the parts. I wish it came with some type of stand to hold the main blender part at the very least. I worry about it getting damaged so I'm trying to figure out a practical way to store it.Update: I love this thing! I use the attachment to mix/froth my coffee at least a few times every week. The whisk attachment has helped me tremendously as my arm tends to become fatigued when I'm making things I would normally have to whisk for quite some time. It is powerful so you want to use a bowl larger than you may normally use and start out using Level 1 power. Otherwise the power of it can easily make things go flying into a mess! I used the immersion blender attachment when making some soups. You have to be persistent and stir every so often otherwise you'll end up with chunks not broken down. This has replaced my blender EXCEPT for making smoothies (using frozen fruit).

Viene sucia
