Great way to get started with the disc system
You can only punch 2 sheets at a time, but that's all I really need. I tried doing more, and it just didn't work out. I got a disc system starter kit at a big box store (Wallyworld) for $7, including the discs, paper, cover, pocket folders and tabs. I hadn't used them yet because I wanted to be able to punch lesson plans and rosters to put in. I kept holding off this purchase and finally decided it was a small investment after getting such a deal on the rest. I'm glad I did. I'm able to also punch and put in smaller sheets of paper that I often use for quick notes that are meant to be temporary. I like the idea of punching anything and slipping it anywhere in my planner. It's so quick and easy. You do have to work through one section at a time, and taking your time to slip the paper in and firmly punch with force on each end of each of 3 "tabs" seems to work best.If I continue to use this planner and decide to expand the use of the disk system to put together other material, I might buy the more expensive punch. For now, I have this starter one that'll travel with me so I can keep myself organized between home and school.

Nice little punch
This punch does what I need it to do. It's not heavy duty by any means, but it works fine for my needs. I have a full-size Martha Stewart discbound notebook, and I needed a punch that would allow me to print pages and add it to my notebook. I rarely add more than 1 or 2 pages at a time, which is all this punch can handle at once, so that is not a problem for me. A convenient feature is it's adjustability to accommodate half-size notebooks.I've had some trouble getting the paper catch to stay on correctly (- one star), but other than that no problems.

Perfect Discbound Punch
This hole punch works beautifully with my Staples Arc junior-sized notebook! There is a slider at the bottom that you adjust for paper size (Letter, Junior (8.5 x 5.5), Compact, CARD, PDA, or MicroPDA), then you just insert 1-2 sheets of paper aligned against the slider, press the 1-2-3 levers, and voila, it's perfectly punched and ready to snap into your discbound notebook or planner (Levenger, Staples Arc, or Martha Stewart). I don't know how I worked without it; I'll be printing and punching my own custom weekly planner pages from now on.The only drawback is that it can only handle 2 sheets of paper at a maximum. I tried a single piece folded in half, and even that didn't work. If you're punching things en masse, this may not work for you, but if you're just adding a few more months to your planner, it's perfect.I punched several dozen pages today, and only once did once of the individual punchers get stuck. It was easily remedied by popping the tray off the bottom and tapping the puncher from beneath--it immediately popped back into place and released the jammed paper. With this punch, I am geeking out over the organizational possibilities with discbound notebooks! :)

There are three sections. Push one at a time. Lock when done to protect punch knives from damage and dulling.
This punch is so under appreciated! It is a portable type that is nice and compact but does a great job on almost any size sheet up to 11”. One or two pages at a time. Simple and truly portable if needed. The great price over the outrageously priced punch at the office store makes it that much more perfect. Complainers who whine about the need to punch multiple sheets clearly need to pay for the big desk punch. If you genuinely just need to add some of your own pages, not just trying to stop paying for branded pages buy punching all of your own paper, then you will be very happy with this great punch. The photo shows it works for any size page, from micro pda to letter.

Great design. Works. Cheaply constructed
I have used the Circa system for many years and love the concept. Typically, I make my own pages out of thick gauge paper that will withstand heavy use and fountain pen ink. For these pages I use the larger and heavier Levenger punch, which works great. Recently I found that I needed a way to add pages while on the road. For this application, this punch works fine. It is, however, made of cheap-feeling plastic, the chad catcher is difficult to keep attached and it it is really only good for one, maybe two sheet at a time. So far, it is working fine and fits nicely in my briefcase. Clever design.I doubt this will have the longevity of its bigger brother. I would have paid more for more robust construction.
