Great quality at a great price
I'm a die-hard Verbatim user. However the last few batches of Verbatim DVD+R DL spindles I purchased yielded about 4-6 bad copies per 25 discs. That ratio is far too high especially at around $1.60 - $1.80 per disc. Also, to help minimize those issues I usually burned my 8x discs at 2-4x for reliability on my ASUS DRW-2014L1T drive (with latest firmware). I decided to give the Optical Quantum discs a try.At about $0.68 per disc I was skeptical at best. Using the same drive, hardware, OS, firmware, etc. I am now able to burn discs at 8x with no worries and no errors. These discs also verify faster (in Nero) yielding an overall faster burn. I'm delighted at the price and the quality so far, but since Amazon's prices fluctuate more than the Chinese Commodities Exchange I hope that I can get my next batch at the same or similar value.All-in-all these discs are a great buy.

Surprised by the quality
Used to buy Memorex DVD+R DL, and I have about 20% failure rate, which costs about $0.80 per disc. So I want to try this media to see if it is better than the Memorex. I was a little skeptical about these discs at beginning after reading those "1 star" reviews. However, I decided to try these media because of 2 reasons. 1 If the media works, it only costs $0.56 per disc. 2. If it doesn't work, I can return it at no extra cost. After receive them and used these discs to backup my XBOX 360 games, they burned and playback 100% successfully without any issue. So far, I burned about 30 discs and no coasters. These media are cheap and great quality. Will purchase more in the future.I also tried these media in my 4 years only Pioneer burner, and it doesn't work. I am okay with it because it don't recognize most of other branded DVD+R DL anyway.

Worked as good as the Verbatim DVD+R DL discs
I've always ordered and used the Verbatim 96542 8.5 GB 8x-10x Double Layer Recordable Disc DVD+R DL, 30 Disc Spindle and that has served me well in the past. I thought I would give these Optical Quantum discs a try based on the reviews and significantly lower cost/disc. So far I've used about 10 discs and they have worked flawlessly, just as good as the Verbatim's. My OS is Windows XP and my DVD drive is LG Electronics 24X SATA DVD+/-RW Internal Drive GH24NS50 (Black). Like others have said, when there are problems with using different brands of discs, a lot of the time it's not the discs, but the computer's other components that may be off. These discs have worked great for me, so I will go for them again when it's time to replenish.Update after 5 months of use: I've used 32 of the 50 discs so far and 2 of them would not work -- the discs failed during the writing process. So I'd guess I'll run into another dud before I'm done with the spindle. Still, getting 47 good ones for the price is still cheaper than the Verbatim's that I normally get. I plan to order another spindle of these before the year is out.

Got to burn XGD2 Xbox 360 games
2 Spindles: only one coaster out of 100. Using an Asus DRW-24B1ST writer, which is a re-badged Lite-On Ihas124-04 rev. c. These discs compared to the Verbatim 97000 are exactly the same. They do need custom settings in imgburn to work this well, though. First, you must turn perform OPC before write 'on' in the tools/settings/write tab/page 1 menu. Then go to the change advanced settings/Lite-On menu. Force Hyper-Tuning should be disabled (default), Online Hyper-Tuning should be enabled, Over-Speed should be disabeld (default) and SmartBurn should be enabled (default). When changing Hyper-Tuning, you need to click change and make sure it confirms it then click OK. Set the burn speed at 4x. Then select the .DVD file and burn. There is no need to force 2.4x with these discs, no matter what you are burning. It will be flawless every time. I have burned everything from backup games to DVDs to pictures and data. As long as you keep the speed at 4x and use those settings, you won't have any coasters... unless the disc is defective. The only coaster I had was the very first disc of the first spindle. Being that it was the top disc it looked like it was damaged due to heat. The outer edge of the disc was pitted. The other 99 discs were perfect, and I am planning on ordering a 3rd spindle. For the price of 4 spindles of these, you would have only gotten 2 spindles of Verbatims. Think about that.

Not one bad disc
I purchased Optical Quantum from many reviews from many sites because I have tried many different brands. Verbatim, Memorex, TDK, Fuji, Phillips, Maxell and HP plus some cheap off brands. I had plenty of bad disc that would not burn. I decided to try these and I have used nearly 100 discs and not one single bad disc. All recorded and played very well. One draw back I found is that they would not play on my TV DVD player. I thought I may need a newer player. But every one played on my computer. I watch TV and movies on my computer anyway. I have a large monitor and it works for me. I highly promote this brand.I will continue to use Optical Quantum because I know they work for me.
