Saved my hat!
This is the stuff right here! 3x black felt rodeo hat that was flapping like a dying gull and it stiffened it right up like a bull. It didn't leave any residue behind or damaged my favorite hat. I suggest ya spray it a couple times right after you git er steamed. Gonna get me another bottle.

Didn’t really work!
This product didn’t really stiffen my wool hat I was trying to shape and it left stains on my hat.

It works on my wool felt hat

Firmness
I used the product to form a brim on my crushable brim hat. I sprayed several times to the point it started to leave a white residue. The brim is holding for now but still seems not firm enough for every day use. Time will tell.
