TOUGH boost converters!
I bought these to increase the voltage going to the stepper motor drivers on my CNC machine from 60 to 80VDC, and they do it without issue. They DO put out a fair amount of noise into the ground circuit, as should be expected with any power supply device - just be sure to plan on adding some ceramic caps to the ground leg. I pull close to 1kw through 1 of these and the voltage doesn't move between loading and unloading. PERFECT for precision applications like CNC machines!

Unit functions, fan does not work.
I finally got around to building my cable set to put this converter in use. The terminals are quite wobbly and fragile like they may not have the best solder underneath them, but they did work, I just had to be really careful connecting my wires to them. The unit is currently working converting my 10S 18650 power supply (36V) to 90V, pulling 18A on the input and 8A on the output. However, it is getting very hot. Sadly the fan on my unit isn’t working at all. Doesn’t spin whatsoever. I hope the seller will check these boards before they send them out to ensure the fans work as these need active cooling to get rid of the heat.

It works.
I bought this step up transformer to power my starlink gen 3 standard via 12 volt. It seems to be working for the month and a half it's been installed. July 2025 update: the thing's still working?

Happy with this. It works well.
This worked well. Still using it every day as a lithium solar charger. Love that it has a low volt cut off. This keeps from killing the car battery if the cars not running.

Atrociously inefficient
Do not recomend for any high power usage. Be prepared for it to output far less than the desired current . it was awful at converting 12.8v to 24v drew in excess of 30A to output 5A at 24v terribly inefficient

No included instructions
This is fairly well made; I have no complaints about that ... but it comes without instructions. There are three potentiometers on the board that will require adjustment, but no reference for what they control. I figured it out, but including a printed sheet if instructions would be worth at least one more star here.

On top looks same as $24 converter. Maybe mosfets and diodes are better.

Purchased to power laptop from solar batteries. Bent testing resulted in Output voltage of 12.5v which was actually lower than the input voltage. Adjusting output potentiometer had no effect . Returned for refund and ordered another. Exact same result. Waste of time.
