I've never replaced screens before, and I didn't know what to expect, nor which kit to get, so I'll be honest, I just chose one. I chose a good one!First the instructions are very straight forward and easy to understand. The kit comes with all the tools you need to rip out the old screen and install the new one. The quality of the material feels pretty solid and the tools themselves don't feel like I should be disposing of them because they could be used over and over again. Great product, hope it holds up!

We have an older camper that needed new screens in the entry door. This kit came with everything to take care of this project: instructions for using, very durable screen material, two rolling tools (one plastic and the other metal), a handy tape measure, a razor cutter for trimming and a hook tool to help take the old spline out. There was more screen material than I needed, so I had some left for future projects. The quality of this product is first rate and well worth the cost. Very impressive!

Needed to replace mesh on our standard size sliding screen door frame. Easy to install and came with all the necessary tools…took me about an hour to finish and it looks great! I was worried about not being able to pull it tight enough and it showing the folds in the mesh but it wasn’t a problem once I got the technique down for using the tools and doing small areas at a time. Good quality and durable 👍🏻

Just so you are aware of it, this mesh is made of fiberglass not metal. The mesh comes with all the tools you'll need to completely remove the old, torn mesh and replace it with this new mesh. Removing the old mesh is quite easy and installing this new mesh is relatively easy too. Don't worry about stretching the mesh tight while trying to fit it into the window screen. By pushing the rubber tube into the groove it'll tighten the mesh around the window screen by itself. Once done pushing the mesh into place, time to trim the extra mesh around the edges. This took me a few errors to get it right. The mesh cuts easily and might come be cut and break around window screen's edges. So you need a steady hand to hold the mesh in place and a precise cutting skill to get it done right. Once you finished trimming the edges, you are done to install the window screen back to its place.

I held off working on the project because I thought it would be incredibly time consuming. I was wrong. The entire project only took me about 45 minutes, which includes removing and replacing the screen door. The directions were easy to follow and it was so helpful that the kit included all the required tools.The “before” pic shows the tape that was used along the edges.

The kit comes complete with everything you need. I found it very easy to install the screen following the simple instructions. Take your time and be fairly gentle with the plastic screen. I had no wrinkles when finished. Very pleased with this process.

I watched a YouTube video (or 3) on how to replace the screen on a sliding patio door. I decided to give it a try as one of my cats had tried to scratch his way out of 2 doors and my attempt to patch them looked horrible. The tools included in this kit are just tight. There was enough screen fabric to do one wide sliding door screen. I bought additional screen fabric and spline to do the second. I did my doors without taking them down, and this was pretty easy. You do need to be careful as you seat the spline so you don't damage the screen fabric. I did that in one place but the damage was so small I let it be. I could have pulled the screen a little tighter, too, but that is barely noticeable.

I am reasonably handy, but I am not an expert screen installer, so take this for what it's worth. The screen material is flimsier and easier to tear than the stock window screen it replaced (Pella brand). The included roller tool has unnecessarily sharp edges, and I accidentally cut the material the first time I tried to install it in the frame. Luckily the kit includes lots of screen material. The second try worked better, and the screen looks fine, but knowing how easy it is to cut or tear I don't have high hopes for longevity.As a cat owner, I know I'm going to have to replace any screen I install eventually. Next time though, I'm going to look for a more robust material.
