Tilta Multi-Functional Top Plate Compatible with Sony FX6 | Lightweight, Sturdy, 15mm Single Rod Holder Included

This is the main counterpart you need to work alongside the V-Mount battery adapter. That's the only reason I bought this top plate. It is to be used in conjunction with the V-Mount adapter. Those two work hand in hand. SO yes, you need them both if you plan on adding a v-mounted battery to the Sony FX6.

This top plate is a great value for the price! It's very well built with lots of mounting plates. The 14 mm rings are really solid. You're able to add rails with other accessories. Altogether, a sturdy piece of equipment.

The Tilta Multi-Functional Top Plate is a fantastic accessory to help customize you FX6 rig and it is comparable in quality to the more expensive brands like Wooden Camera, and Shape, that make similar such products.This particular top plate fits neatly around the native top handle of the FX6. It’s sleek, and professional looking once on, and one of the biggest attractions is how light it is, adding very little weight to the camera, which is of course important when you are shooting long days.Installation is super easy, using the screws provided to simply attach the plate to the top of the camera. Once on, it opens up many options for building your rig out further by offering multiple screw holes where you can attach accessories of your choosing.I use my plate to attach a Noga arm at the very front, which then holds a monitor. This plate solved a massive problem for me in that before, I was only able to attach the arm off the top FX6 handle at the back of the camera, which was the only available screw hole. This was problematic as I could only extend the monitor so farr but I needed more distance and it was interfering with being able to simply hold my camera. I was also unable to use my Easy rig as it was simply in the way. This plate illuminated these problems.The top plate also comes with a 2 x rods attachment, which I personally don’t use for my current rig, but I certainly see them being helpful for the future.For me this is a no brainer, serving the same purpose as the other more expensive brands for a fraction of the price. I’m very impressed.

Got this for my FX6, and it fits perfectly and is well-made. Aside from Smallrig, Tilta makes some of the very best quality accessories when it comes to cages, handles, etc. This one is no different. Great quality and allows you to add rails with additional accessories (like a monitor). If you think it would help your rig, get it!

Solid materials used and has other use other than just a top plate. Works great as a base for stability as well.

Like the other parts and pieces I have from Tilta, these are will made and camera specific parts fit the cameras as intended.Built for the Sony FX6, it does match the top plate and attaches easily.The two rod clamps can be installed or not - depending on what you are trying to do -Good parts, fair price and precisely made.
