I bought these as an upgrade to my existing simple screw clamps for use with my project of installing kitchen cabinets. I am really glad I did because these clamps proved to be very helpful in my task. Below are my observations from use: Pros 1. Very easy to use - you can collapse the clamp and tighten with a single hand which was helpful hanging cabinets 2. Easy to release to remove the clamp when finished 3. End caps on the clamping surface are provided to prevent marring of the pieces being joined - definitely a must have feature when used on finished cabinets 4. Unlike my simple clamps these can be used to function as both a clamp or expander. Though I have yet to use it as an expander I can anticipate future projects where this dual function will come in handy. 5. The addition of an indicator that shows you the clamping force is a nice feature but frankly I tighten as much as I can just to be safe and not to a target force plus the limit for these heavy duty clamps is quite high. This feature would however be more useful if you bought a light duty model with a much lower clamping force limit where your hand strength could break the clamp 6. As you should be able to expect from a major brand vs a generic, the product was of high quality and made of good materials that should give you years of use. This combined with all the useful features makes it a good value even though a little more expensive than the generic options available. Cons - None that I have found to date but if I do find one I will update this review. Overall I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it. In fact, I was so pleased with how well this clamp worked that I have already bought another pair in a different length.

J’utilise les serre-joints de 6 po depuis quelques jours et ils fonctionnent très bien. Bonne prise en main. Bonne surface de mâchoire. La gâchette de relâchement ne m’a pas causé de problème jusqu’ici.

Best Brand of Clamps I have, and are of a Heavy Duty build. These do no loosen like my Craftsman’s and way more force; better than my Dewalt’s; way better than my Irwin’s…

This Pro/Con list is in comparison to the black/yellow and blue/yellow brand (IYKYK). Time will tell durability, but as of right now. . . Cons- Heavier. Not a big deal at first, but if trying to do things one-handed, heavier can be an issue for some people. Handles not as comfortable. Release mechanism not in the most convenient place. Pros- Cheaper. Almost half the price. And. it. holds. Holds better than the yellow and blue brand. Personally, I rank them black/yellow brand, Jorgensen, blue/yellow brand. Yes the Jorgensen holds better, but if I need it to hold that good, I'll use a different style clamp. If you need loooong clamps, don't waste money on any of these brands. Get yourself some pipe clamps. But for these 6" clamps, if I'm being honest. . . If I knew about these earlier, I'd probably have all Jorgensen clamps.
