Rubies Girl's Supergirl Tv Show Costume

This costume looks awesome! It doesn't look cheap or "costume-ish," it looks just like the one on the show! I got the Children's Large size and it fits great! I'm 25 years old, 5'0" and 115lbs, and I have a petite, athletic build, not the ultra thin frame of many children. It feels a bit short for my comfort level, but that is only because I plan to wear it for a work program. It falls about the same on me as it does on the girl in the picture, easily made more comfortable by wearing shorts underneath so it doesn't "feel" so short. **Parents beware, as this is labeled for children ages 8-10, but I don't know many little girls who are my size. I would say that the inch measurements in the size chart are relatively accurate. I would hate for someone to buy this for a kid and be disappointed at it being huge on them.

The costume is nice quality and looks great. The cape is great! Overall, our daughter loves it. It just does not fit our daughter quite right, and she would not be able to be wear it without it looking silly past this couple of months. Our daughter is 105 cm tall and weighs 38 lbs. We bought a size small. It is both too wide and too short. The belt is massively wide. Following a couple other people’s suggestions in reviews, I sewed the front part of the belt to the dress, and it looks much better (and also solves the belt sizing issue). We are going to have her wear some black shorts or leggings underneath for Halloween so that it isn’t so revealing. My comments are really just to help people with sizing. It would be perfect depending on your kid’s size.

This costume is great. Usually Rubie's costumes are pretty cheaply made and fall apart instantly, so I was hesitant to buy this for my daughter's halloween costume based on my prior experience with this brand. In the end, I'm so glad I bought it! The fabric feels nice and thick, and has a slick, almost rubbery feel to it, especially the cape. The belt is a separate piece with a velcro closure, and it rides up a bit when she's playing, so I ended up stitching it to the costume to keep it in place. We ordered based on her normal size rather than the recommended size up (she's on the slender side) and the arms and leotard were definitely the right size for her, though the skirt is a bit short. I'd recommend getting some shorts to wear underneath. We paired it with Dora Girls Red Glitter 1.75" Go Go Boots size Medium 13-1 and the Gia-Mia Dance Big Girls Metallic Short, Gold, Medium and now she's all ready for Halloween. She LOVES this costume - after trying it on to see if it fit, I had a heck of a time getting her to take it back off. Thumbs up all round.

NAILED it! My daughter has impeccable taste! This was all her.! She was invited to an all super hero’s bday party. The costume was of really good quality. I did have to pin the belt in place and purchase the red shorts to go underneath. But other wise, she slayed! I was very satisfied with the quality of the fabric and stitch detail.

The size SMALL is a little big for my 6 year old (who is on the smaller size). I love the idea of this piece!+* The cape is VERY nice and sturdy like a thicker pleathery material-GREAT!+* I do wish it had shorts sewed in. My daughter was a SUPER excited GIRL to unwrap this gift. I am a bit upset that some of the seams on the stitching had some loose thread, and no belt as shown in the picture. -*On an area where the belly is there is an off color that is noticed in pictures and looks like a stain. I have to give it only 3 stars because the missing piece, off color and because I had to take this from my daughter in order to exchange it for another one. Update: the replaces it with a new one and it was perfect.

The costume it's self was not bad. It did have thread coming out of the armpit area, from a sewing machine. The cape was nice. My issue is with the sizing. I read the reviews. I measured my daughter. Using the sizing chart in the picture, I chose what I thought would be the right size. My daughter is a petite 9yr old. She wears a size 7/8 (or 8). I thought ordering a medium would be just baggy enough on her to wear warm clothes underneath. The packaging even says U.S.A. size 8-10. However, we could barely even velcro the back. The arms were a little snug. Definitely not enough room for clothes underneath the costume. If we live in an area that had warmer Halloweens, it'd be fine. I had to do a return and reorder in a bigger size, also having to pay a few dollars more, because now the costume has gone up in price since I first ordered a few days ago. We like the costume. It's just frustrating that the sizes are so far from accurate. UPDATE: The new one, a large (12/14) came yesterday. It's in just as good condition. It is pretty big on my daughter. The large is significantly longer and wider. However, at least she can wear layers underneath...

I ordered it for my 9years old sister. It fits her large,may be cause I ordered large (I was worried if it would fit her small). The product will fit perfectly to a 11/12years old

Ma fille est ravie, cape à stratch, ceinture aussi. Taille grand, ma fille met du 10 ans, j ai pris 8 ans et la ceinture est grande, j ai fait un nœud en plus mais très beau rendu ! Regardez plutôt la taille en cm pour choisir

Vestito che userò per carnevale e si distingue dai 'classici' perché è fatto bene: la stoffa è acrilico, ma è ben pesante e le cuciture sono perfette. Temevo per la misura, alla fine ho optato per una m ( 5/7 anni) mia figlia ha 7 anni, è alta 1.30 e pesa 25 kg: il vestito le sta benissimo. Certo la gonna è piuttosto corta, ma è il modello. Il tessuto è lavabile in lavatrice. Se non fosse per il costo eccessivo sarei pienamente soddisfatta. Adatterò degli stivaletti con dei collant, magari rossi. Bel vestito, lo consiglio.
