Sanders, Caramel Topping, 10 Ounce

I stumbled onto this item by accident. There was a recipe I wanted to try, and I didn't want to go to a store during the weekend (it was the weekend BEFORE Labor Day, eek), I thought I'd look here on Amazon.I need some caramel for a Pumpkin Spice Poke cake - and my local Walmart didn't have what I needed. I'd already been to two stores earlier - so to Amazon I went.I had some gift cards, and after using them, the price for this was more than what I wanted to pay. Not too unreasonable though. And, from the reviews - it sounded like the stuff in an old-timey ice cream shop. I had to get it! It arrived on 9/1 and I decided to make my cake.I'm no Betty Crocker or Martha Stewart - so the cake didn't come out "recipe picture" ready. Then again, it was my first time making it.However ... the caramel was awesome! Heats up in the jar, easy to use. No bad ingredients, USA made, 100% tasty. I was sold. It really added the touches to the cake. It was supposed to "drizzle", but some parts it plopped out, so I spread it out. Mixed in with the cream cheese frosting on top - it really made the cake worth the trouble I'd put into it!If I need to get more caramel - this is my preferred brand!

Flavor is off the charts, texture is rapturous never tasted another mass produced sauce that comes close. Thank goodness Morley didn’t change it when they purchased Sanders. They ruined other Sanders products!!

The cost is too high, but understandable since this is the last of this nostalgic Detroit favorite.

If you like caramel this is a must buy, it is so delicious!

I purchased a few Sanders items through Amazon for a holiday ice cream social for some of my colleagues in Dallas. Given I live in Michigan and often bring chocolates for them to sample, I promised to introduce them to the variety of chocolate and Carmel toppings. Not only did my colleagues enjoy the wonderful Michigan tradition, but I was able to share with the staff at the Marriott I visit weekly. They enjoyed them so much they’ve purchased cases of the milk chocolate salted Carmel’s, that they shared with loved ones while in London for the holidays. Helping spread the sweetness of life via Sanders and Amazon. Thanks for the memories.

Great topping. Miss it from my home town.

This was one little jar and it was marked as part of a set, not to be sold individually. It tasted yummy though.

Good flavor and texture. A bit expensive. Nice on apple slices or ice cream.
