Originally purchased as a gift four our neighbor as he liked our pressure washer, but didn't have one himself. Experienced an issue with the GFCI plug where the ground pin was bent during shipping. Contacted Kärcher and they shipped us an entire new pressure washer as this was a safety issue and deemed un-repairable. We got to keep the "Broken" as well as the new one. Simply cut off the GFCI and wired on a plain 120V outlet. We have a GFCI on our outdoor outlet already, so the built in GFCI is just for safety on Kärcher's end to ensure no one gets injured using their product. Other than the issue outlined above, that was corrected by Kärcher, the pressure washer works beautifully. The turbo brush works very well for cleaning mats, carpets, and the driveway. The hose reel is very very convenient, I hate touching a dirty wet hose, and this is so much easier than wrapping it up and hanging it by hand. No reel for the electrical plug though, would be a great touch. Otherwise this is one of the best electrical pressure washers money can buy.

Well first off I actually have a gas powered pressure washer and I have the Karcher electric power washer. The gasoline power washer is way more powerful than the electric power washer. But it requires me to run the engine more often because of the ethanol additive which can gum up your carburetor. So it’s kinda of a pain. However with the electric power washer it’s almost as powerful, but then you don’t have to worry about getting gasoline and running the motor frequently so that it doesn’t gum up. The electric power washer is NICE. One thing I want to mention is the spray wand is kinda sensitive, you have to be careful with the spray tip. I actually broke my spray tip, and I had to order a new one and then it worked perfectly. The only downside to this power washer is the hose, it can be a little temperamental. And sometimes getting the hose fitting to go in the spray wand can be a difficult sometimes. You just have to look in the spray wand and then turn the hose fitting to get it to go in. Other than that it works great. I used it to power wash my white plastic fence. Our homeowners association requires everyone to install white plastic fence in their backyard and occasionally you have to power wash it. I recommend getting the spray tip canister. Sold separately. It’s like 27 dollars or something. It’s not too expensive. And they sell a detergent solution for the spray canister. You only need to put a small amount of that stuff and then fill it up the rest of the way with water. Shake it a little and spray it on your car. Works great. I don’t really have any complaints about it, except the hose. Other than that it works great

Absolute junk. I've owned two Karcher K5s, both times they failed spectacularly... not going to purchase a Karcher again. The first one had serious electrical issues that they could not fix -- it would blow the breaker (not its own GFCI!) every time it plugged in. I tried replacing its GFCI, to see if that was the issue, but no... the issue must've been the motor wiring or something, because it'd blow the breaker even without a GFCI. Into the waste bin. New Karcher arrives -- three weeks after the warranty expires -- an internal pipe cracked. I call Karcher and they're all like, "Yeahhh, that's a very common issue for this model. We can send you a new one for ~$40+shipping." I tell them that it's barely outside of warranty and if it's a common problem, that that isn't fair for a 1 year product to charge me for a failure of engineering. They shrugged, so instead of paying it, I took it apart again and repaired it. Within 2 years I've had to take apart and repair 2 different machines. Then, within a year of that repair, the motor starts cutting out and then gave out completely. Into the bin. Absolute garbage products. Their lives may have given me 60-80 hours each of work. (2 vehicles and a few bikes) The thermoplastic hose is also an annoying beast to contend with. At this price point, just buy a proper pressure washer... I've learned my lesson the hard way. :/

Be sure you keep your expectations realistic. I replaced my 10+ year old 2100psi 2GPM gasoline pressure washer with this 2000psi 1.4GPM Karcher K5 expecting it to be similar in power. It's not. They are up front that it's 0.6 gallons per minute less. My fault for not grasping how much less that really is...the GPM is what really counts. Don't get me wrong, it works really nice for washing the cars with the variable nozzle, and the turbo nozzle is nice too for blowing the dirt off the walkway. I just cant imagine it doing very well with things like cleaning the algae off the siding on the north end of my house and tougher stuff like that. The good part though... is I don't have to worry about accidentally harming the finish on my cars softer plastic bits and I'm not worried about my wife being able to use it with ease. It is really nice, and Electric is so easy .. no pulling the cord 5-10 times, no gas cans, no oil changes, no treating fuel for the winter... just hook up the hose, plug in the power, and wash. This is a really nice, feature rich unit that feels high quality. It would have been nice if they provided a hose that isn't so stiff...It's not the plastic junk that some come with, but it's also not the more flexible stuff like expensive units. It doesn't come off the reel easy, and as the curves stay in it when its not taught, you gotta be careful around the car as it doesn't just lay on the ground and can spring up and hit the car while you are moving around. Still ok... just a gripe I have. I do recommend this unit for general home use and car washing.
