Smooth!

I didn’t think I was going to like the thinner tips for writing but I really do love them. They are smooth and I keep writing without issue. Ink flow it perfect and no leakage.

I was looking for a high quality refill for 2 nice metal older heavy ballpoint pens that were given to me by someone at my company with our company name on them. These worked perfectly with no clumpy or ink globs you have to clean off. Will use these again when I need refills again.

Quick delivery on the blue ink refills. They write smooth! My only issue was the rubber ball tip that is attached to "new" refills was missing on one of the six. I have no way of telling how much ink is in the refill so this was a little disconcerting and disappointing. Purchased as new, expected all to be new. Now just not sure. (Reason for 4 stars rather than 5).

These are priced pretty reasonably compared to the competition for this type of ink cartridge. The ink is very nice and dark, and very smooth. These have been the best of this type (metal cartridge gel refills) that I have tried so far. Most of the others started off really nice, but after a week or 2 of use, the ink would become splotchy and occasionally stop flowing. These refills from Bastion have been very consistent after a month of use and are nothing short of excellent.That said, I still prefer the much cheaper (and dare I say, better) Pilot G2 refills, but not all pens can fit the Pilot refills. All-in-all, these perform very favorably to the Pilot G2 refills. Highly recommend, and will buy again.

I like the smooth feel of how the pen glides as I write. The weight of the pen is perfect.

The new pen doesn't write

The gel inserts write very well, and are nice and smooth. However, they seem to run out of ink very quickly, and with metal casing, it’s impossible to tell what the ink level is as you go or if you are running out. Additionally, it seems to suffer from frequent difficulty in starting in flow, or even pausing and catching during writing. Overall, could definitely benefit from a redesign.

The Bastion brand is very strong and reliable. These refills are perfectly matched with the pens. I use my Bastion pen every week, I have dropped it many times, it just keeps going! Always reliable, smooth writing, goos value for money!

Love me a good Caran d'Ache pen. My dad buys the limited editions pens throughout the year and gifts them to family. I have several of them and needed black ink for work (rather than the blue they come with). No scratching or smudging. Comfortable writing.

Came in a clear plastic bag, couldn't see when it was produced but works well for now.
