Good barre, difficult to assemble
This is a good barre for beginners or experienced dancers wanting additional practice. I have danced for 35 years and have encountered many barres of different material and quality. The price is great and it comes packaged pretty well- some pieces were missing their plastic and were scratches, but that didn't affect functionality.Assembly was a little difficult on step two as the pieces were very difficult to line up. When you attach the diagonal piece to the upright piece first I found it slightly easier to then attach to the bottom. The barre is sturdy, but has a little sway left to right. The bars are easy to adjust up and down and don't spin when you hold onto them.I don't see this being very portable as the base is the most difficult part to get straight and aligned. The bonus elastic strap is nice and seems to be good quality.Overall great purchase for the price and will be great for in-home ballet lessons for my daughter.

Very sturdy, great quality!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight, yet sturdy. It looks and feels like a quality piece. It was a little weird to put together due to the directions, but once I got the hang of it, it came out great.I plan on keeping it visible in my family room so I use it. I don't think it looks awful like other equipment might. The wood bars are very smooth. The metal bars are solid. Both wood bars adjust up and down. I used my own wrench to tighten some of the bolts. The four corner bars were a little wonky to line up, but if you pull the side bar up a little, they will line up well.Be careful with your fingers because the pieces are very solid and while pushing them into the connectors, you might slip as the connectors are tight even after loosening the wing nuts also if the wing nuts aren't tightening, look for the nut. It may not be in the hole but in the pile of parts next to you.

Looks nice
Not very stable side to side but it works out ok. It looks nice and the natural wood is nice and smooth.

This will do for now
The box was delivered by UPS, and it was absolutely destroyed and partially open. It was taped together as if it was a resold return or something. Almost all of the parts were there in the box. Luckily, the only thing missing was a plastic end cap to finish off a sharp edge.Even the paperwork inside with directions was ripped up.The product itself seems to be fairly ok but not new condition. It looked like someone has tried to put it together before, and some of the plastic parts were slightly bent or dented, which made fitting the metal poles together a challenge. It will do for now, but I’m disappointed because it was less than what I expected.

A pain to assemble
I may update after Christmas as it’s a gift for my daughter so it hasn’t been used yet. Unfortunately it’sa giant pain to assemble. The 4 smallest bars used to support the upright bars are poorly designed. I had to get out pliers and bend them just to get the hold to line up so I could attach them. I also do not see how this would be easily taken apart to make the bag useful. The twist knobs used to connect the posts have to be installed backwards bc the size of the knob hits the bend in the small posts making it impossible to twist them in the instructed position.
