Green Mountain Gringo Salsa, Medium, 16 Oz (Pack of 2)

I bought this because it's low carb and low calorie. It has a somewhat smokey flavor, but I love that. It's great with Mexican food, but I also put it on my baked potatoes for a relatively healthy meal.

My favorite salsa ever. Tangy, not too thick, and full of flavors.

This salsa has chunks of stuff, giving it texture in addition to good flavor. I use it with Mexican dishes, chips, on eggs and anything else that needs flavor added. Medium hot has little kick from my perspective so I mix it 50/50 with the hot version (which has good flavor but the pepper level is just a bit too much by itself - NOT habanero hot though).

My only complaint is that it doesn’t really meet my criteria for a ‘medium’ salsa. It’s pretty mild—especially if you’re someone who grew up in the Southwest or Mountain West regions. If they make a hotter version, I would love to try it.That being said, it has a wonderful flavor! It’s so much better than the common big-name jarred salsas that you would find in a grocery store. The cumin certainly adds a twist, so you will need to like cumin if you’re going to enjoy this salsa (which I do). For me, the cumin comes through more strongly when the salsa is chilled compared to room temperature, so definitely keep that in mind. I almost like this salsa slightly better at room temperature.

This salsa came highly recommended. For me, the heat level was indeed medium, but it is a little too sweet. I noticed the sweetness more after having refrigerated it. Still a good hot sauce, but I would opt for something less sweet every time.

Recently my salsa supply store closed and I was stranded in a world of blah and strange commercial salsas. I've been trying literally for years to find a replacement. Somebody suggested this and it's really good. Perfect, no but as close as I've been in a long time. Give it a try!

It's hard to find good Mexican food while on alow salt diet for heart flavor. But this is the one you want to afford! Muy bueno!

I liked the salsa. It is not your basic tomato onion pepper sa;sa. It has green spices such as cilantro. Good flavor
