First of all I want to thank the reviewer who posted a picture of her air conditioner which was the same than mine because that's why I bought the remote without hesitation. The price is fenomenal and it works right out of the box, well you have to put the batteries in first but that's it. Not setting up or anything. We are more than happy now that we can control the air without leaving the bed. Also the buttons weren't working right and that's the first reason I started looking for a remote. It works right away if you have the right model.

My LG remote mysteriously stopped working after close to a decade, and unfortunately, the physical buttons on the air conditioner didn't work either. I was on the verge of purchasing a new AC unit, but was luckily able to find this replacement remote at a decent price and jumped on it. Worked instantly, no programming required. Buttons are snappier than the original too!

The media could not be loaded. We owe LG 8000BTU. It's about 10 years old, works great. But, the power button stopped working.The original remote was no where to be found, so I did the following:- I looked up the user manual from LG support site.- The original remote looked exactly the same as this generic one, so I ordered it.After remote arrived, I placed to AAAs inside and it worked right out of the box.

So very happy to find the remote.From the seller's picture, it looked as if I would get 3, but only got one- it works well and I'm grateful that it does.If I had realized it was only a single remote, I could have bought from the other seller and gotten a few bucks off- still with prime.

Admittedly, I bought this remote and thought it didn't work at first because I was using dead batteries. I had just moved and thought the pair of AAAs I had in hand were new, but they weren't. After realizing that and placing fresh batteries in this remote, it began working flawlessly. I haven't had any issues with it and would recommend this remote to anyone with an LG unit that this is compatible with.

Arrived quickly. Feels like it weighs almost nothing, but does the job perfectly! All the buttons work properly with my LG wall ac/heater unit. The only thing I'll tell anyone ordering this - the instructions for the batteries are weird.. they list US/Canada/A/B battery, blah blah --- let me save you some time - it's two (2) AAA (triple A) batteries. Lightweight and works great.

Was unsure if this would work on a Kenmore. Remotes looked similar, but the remote I ordered had a couple more buttons. Works great! No issues, and no more getting out of the chair to turn on and off the ac unit. Lost my old remote over the winter, still havent found it... 😥
