Great sculpt and decent price for two.
This duo of transformers have great sculpt and engineering. While yes, the materials used to make them are not as good as they used to be you still have the sense of stability with them. That plus the fact that the Beast Wars toys are no longer bricks. Skywarp can be used to represent the first toy in the Beast Wars Toyline that was named Silverbolt (The one that combined with Magnaboss not the Fuzor). This iteration of Skywarp debuted in the Japan exclusive Beast Wars II and like the Silverbolt above also combined with two others to form Magnaboss (This can get confusing when it comes to toylines). Reusing Airazor's mold is also a good thing due to how similar their bird modes can look from a distance.

Love it….sort of
I love the set overall but there are a few issues but most of them don’t concern the figures. My only complaint with the figures is that sideswipe is too loose and feels a bit fragile for my liking. When transforming skywarp his entire lower section detached. It didn’t break thank God but his entire lower half just slid out of its socket or mushroom peg or whatever. Easy to fix just slide it back in but this has happened twice now and I have transformed the figure only twice by now and that shouldn’t happen. That’s about it with the figures themselves the rest of the complaints come from trying to get this set. I only wanted the set for Skywarp and I was really disappointed to see that I would have to spend over $30 just to get him and now I’m stuck with a sideswipe I will have to sell. I really hope Hasbro stops doing this sad thing because people are having to buy two figures just to get one they actually want and it’s pretty stupid. Back to the figures themselves I still love them both even though I did not want sideswipe but he has kind of grown on me. I absolutely adore the skywarp figure despite the issue I touched on earlier. I wish he had a wrist articulation but you can’t win everything I suppose. I wouldn’t really recommend this set if you already own Airrazor or siege sideswipe unless you really want the sideswipe or you really like Skywarp as a character and design like me.

An excellent addition to anyone's modern Transformers collection.
1st off, the New Sideswipe mold is outstandingly G1 show accurate. The changes are small, but make a huge difference. 2nd Skywarp is very fun in and of himself. Its an homage lost on many younger fans, but a welcome one for long time fans. Would have enjoyed it being part of a combiner like the 90's one, but I will take the repaint/remolded heads. Overall, it's a good set and worth the money.

Really fun set, but only worth getting with a discount
I've been getting kind of miffed over the last few years about Hasbro/Takara putting popular classic characters into overpriced exclusives/multipacks like this, but when I saw it on sale for $40 USD I figured it would be worth pulling the trigger.I'm sure the main reason anyone wants this set is for the G1-style Sideswipe, and I can assure you he is awesome. He is a slight retool of the Siege version of him, but this version more closely replicates his original Lamborghini Countach mode and doesn't have the "battle damage" markings. I think the colors are superb and the joints on mine are nice and tight. Overall he just looks fantastic too.The other figure included is based on Skywarp (aka Thunderbolt) from the Japanese Beast Wars II series. He is a slight retool of Kingdom Airazor, and I think he looks pretty nice. All the paint applications (except the eagle eyes) are really solid and helps him stand out. The joints on mine are nicely tight as well. If you plan on getting Legacy Leo Prime (Lio Convoy), this guy will make an awesome companion for him, as he is one of the select few nods to a Japan-only character released in western markets so far.All this being said, I don't really feel like this set is worth the regular price. I know that Hasbro is gradually raising prices because of inflation, but I couldn't see myself paying $50+ for this. I think the $40 range is a decent price to get this at, if you can.
