WARNING: DO NOT BUY!!
Do not buy this product! No one can fix it when it breaks. Pool companies won’t fix it because they are not HVAC licensed and HVAC companies won’t fix because it’s attached to a pool. Mine broke inside the warranty period. I was told I needed a professional to assess the issue and report it to Raypak to start the warranty process. But no one will even look at it and now the warranty has lapsed. Raypak should send me a new one. I have a $3000 paper weight next to my pool pump.

fan burnt out after 6 months
worked great for six months. then fan burnt out. and unit is worthless now. amazon won't even stand behind their guarantee, not to mention the company honoring the waranty.

Heater Works Great
Modern LCD displays the temp in and Temp out and heats up the pool relatively fast. So far Im pretty happy with the purchase.Update: October 2021. Worked flawlessly all summer, it heats up the water 3 to 4 degrees as it passes through the unit. Very economical, electric bill never jumped up dramatically despite me setting the temp at 83 for most of the summer. (Ran it around 8 hours a day as I ran pump)

Quieter But Operating Temperature Restrictions
This replaced (exchanged) a much larger AquaComfort Heater/Chiller for our 11,000 gallon pool in Tucson, Arizona. The AquaComfort was more efficient and heated quicker but it sounds like a real loud air conditioner. Unbearable to be anywhere close to your pool. The Crosswind 65i is a small unit that still packs a punch. But beware - - they both really only work, IMHO, when the low temperature is 60 degrees or higher. To be truly effective in colder temperatures, your pool and heat pump need to be running all the time. I believe this pump will work best during pool season by optimizing the temperature when the temperatures warm up. I'm debating whether to keep it running 24/7 or just keep both the pool/heat pump on during the prime 12 hours we'd be using the pool. It's also a question of starting and stopping both pumps - - whether that is more efficient and easier on the equipment than running it full time during pool season and having the heat pump not running as much when the weather warms up. I'm still experimenting so more to follow.

Trash
Don’t walk RUN total waste of money. Fan is the key component and ours burnt out in 6 months. When it did when it took a solid 24hrs to heat to temp and cool to temp. I never write reviews. Only doing this to help a fellow American avoid wasting their hard earned money.

Great but broken fan motor less than 6 months old
Well I’m giving it a 3 stars because when it works it’s great.. able to control the unit with my phone and set either the heater or chiller to what temperature I need.HoweverHad this unit for less than 6 months and fan motor is dead.. middle of summer and I can’t chill the water. One of the main reasons for buying this unit is to keep the temperature down during the summer.. gets really hot in South Carolina..Hopefully I’ll have a new fan soon. Been waiting almost a month now and still no new fan.

Great little heater
Working great in the month I've had it installed. Very quiet and I haven't seen a drastic increase in our electric bill. Works slowly but efficiently.
