I would assume so, we have long hair cats but we dog sit too and it clean up pretty good after all of the animals

Does the job.

The open button for hair removal needs to be improved as tends to open when using. I used index finger to keep it closed as it tends to spill out . It picks up cat hair or just general fluff n dust on material pretty well. I give it four stars. Based on its price
