A recently replaced shower head is straighter than its predecessor and is more inclined to spray over the head rather than on the head and body. Although the shower mount has some adjustability, it did not provide adequate tilt with the new head. Adding this provides about 30-degrees of additional tilt and that makes it perfect.It does not come with any washers and some will be needed to ensure that there are no leaks. You may also need to use PTFE tape around the threads although not always necessary.Although apparently stiff and difficult to adjust before installation, once installed the additional leverage provided by a shower head makes the task simpler and it moves freely.
