Reduced Shelf Life, Heck 10 Chicken Italia Sausages, 340g

I've had better sausages admittedly, however these are good with a nice flavour and certainly a cut above your standard cheap supermarket brands with a reasonably high meat content. These are chipolatas so snake than a standard sausage and work great in a sandwich. At the price point for a reduced shelf life item they offer very good value and freeze well. Something I'll definitely buy again.

It’s good to have the option of chicken sausages - a bit healthier. But these are hugely lacking in flavour. They don’t seem to have any!

Taste very nice

I quite like Heck sausage. The ingredients always seems to be good and the meat content high. I actually thought these were ordinary, pork chipolatas when I purchased them. That will teach me to pay more attention and read the description. When they arrived and I saw they were chicken, I was surprised, but intrigued. They're actually very tasty. To be honest, I had them with a mixed grill, and couldn't tell the difference from standard pork sausages. Fat wise they are 3.9% when grilled, which is a lot less than a pork sausage, so no doubt, they are healthier for you. Nothing too terrible in the ingredients. They do contain milk and pea flour, which are known allergens with some people. Overall, although they were technically a mistake, as I thought I was buying pork sausages, these have turned out to be very tasty, undoubtedly healthier for you, and I would happily buy again. I hope you found this review helpful. They only use British chicken.
