I selected these because they advertised a "max load" of 300 lbs, and I needed brackets that could support a couple of hundred lbs. Unfortunately, when tested after installation, the supports started to flex and bend with less than half that weight. Relying on these for a significant fraction of the advertised weight rating will likely end in disaster.Other than that, they don't look half bad. They do have some unfinished edges that will mar the finish on your wall. Fender washers may help with that. Also, one of the screw holes for attaching the shelf to the top of the bracket is in an inaccessible location under the release lever.I had high hopes for these brackets. They are a huge disappointment and a waste of money for my needs.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this set of collapsible shelving brackets to add some much needed space to my small kitchen. I chose this particular item as my kitchen is already cramped for space , and I can easily flatten them down and out the way when not in use. When in use however I have all my spices and various cooking ingredients at the ready and conveniently next to the stove as counter space is sorely lacking. This item makes up for it in a big way and when I'm finished it will consume no more space as its folded down. This is would be of great particular use in garages and shops too where tools need to be kept very handy for certain jobs. The fold up and release all run smooth without any undue resistance. Thinking of getting one for my RV to use during outdoor cookouts where shelving space for anything is pretty much non existent. This particular boast some serious strength too at bieng able to hold over 300lbs!

I bought this to extend my countertop in my van and I can’t use it because just not square at all. It’s not even close to square. Will probably work fine for a shelf on a walk and the slant may actually help things stay on the shelf better, so maybe it’s by design. But it is unusable in my situation.

My husband used these brackets to create a laundry shelf for me!! I’m credibly handy and well made!!

Overall, these are pretty sturdy brackets and the foldup functionality is great. Unfortunately, they only form an angle of about 85 degrees so my shelves sloped downhill from the wall. I had to shim the bottom of the brackets where they affix to the wall in order to get the shelves back to level.I also suggest getting an extension for your drill screw driver bit (I have a torx bit) as it is difficult getting the drill close enough to screw in the screws because the folding part of the brackets get in the way of the drill.You need a moderate level of home improvement skills in order to install. If you’re not mechanically inclined, you might want to get some help with installation.

Combined with a clothes rack this fits the bill.

these bind if they aren't installed perfectly straight and square; easy fix, bending the areas that catch on each other, but I think it's worth noting. If they do bind/catch they won't let the table down all the way. Otherwise, fantastic product.

Sturdy, but the install was difficult because the diagonal braces interfere with both a screwdriver and a drill when drilling/screwing both into the shelf and into the wall. They could have added an extension device cheaply to assist.
