Eliminates most nuisance tripping on older wiring
These are excellent. They save space in the panel and they eliminate nuisance tripping. Older homes with knob and tube and even many early romex installations had neutrals crossed or intersecting somewhere.. this caused the older generations of Afcis to trip. These breakers are the first that I know of to be able to protect such circuits without false tripping. While they can only protect the circuits they’re on, they do an excellent job of protecting older (and new) wiring from arc faults and fires, while eliminating a prevalent cause of nuisance tripping. If you have knob and tube or aluminum wiring, installing these breakers is hands down the best thing you can do for safety and fire prevention, short of a whole rewire. And even on a full rewire, I would recommend these breakers.

I purchased two of these for four circuits during a remodel
When you have to hide cords under carpets, even when using cable protector strips ,,, arc fault protection is a must, particularly with today’s powered furniture and smart, lighting controls… AFCI Circuit protection is a must, and required by code in living, rooms, bedrooms, etc. my family is more than worth it!AFCI is required by code for a very good reason.. preventing fires!

Had to eventually pull it due to nuisance trips.
Sigh, I really want this breaker to work out as it has several very nice features (tandem, doesn't require return neutral), but I just pulled it out after two years in the panel. The number of nuisance trips kept getting worse over time. Certain living room electronics are especially problematic for it, like gaming consoles. Your mileage may vary, but this was ultimately a big fail for me.

New Code requires these
New electric code requires these, and thanks to the tandem function, one works in place of two. Super helpful, I'm happy to have passed inspection and was cleared to close.

Awesome product can't believe it took so long to come out with! Great for Knob and Tube wiring and for 3 wire nm cable when doing a panel upgrade.
