Bought it to lock up a school cabinet to keep my SPED students from taking things. Easy to use. Security is on point, chain is not exposed, students can tug on it and not get hurt. Easy access and it comes with 2 keys. Love it, totally recommend it.

I don't know about refrigerators. I use mine on chainlink double gate. To keep my crappie neighbors dogs from slamming into them and bending the gate trying to kill every animal on the planet. The locks stand up to that. (Dogs are 75&100lb.) So most likely they are the locks for you. Buy it!
