Amazingly light weight!
My EDC! So light you forget you're wearing it. I have almost put it through the wash a few times now since i sometimes forget its on my gym shorts! Great for wearing during a night run or when you don't want to be weighed down. Great blade, well made knife! Super glad I got it.. Only wish i would have seen this sooner. And the carbon fiber looks awesome!

Goes with me everywhere!
Very nice tool. I can carry it all day without it becoming a burden. Sharp and very very thin.

Great concept but two big flaws
I was thrilled to find a S35VN ultra light weight knife with carbon scales and crossbar lock. Its pretty much my dream specs in a knife. Out of the box the knife looks amazing. Sadly once you dig a big the two big flaws rear their head. First is that huge, too deep carry, pocket clip. I know they say it doubles as a money clip but just not my style and I doubt many others either. They should have added a normal Ti or spring steel clip that tops off at the end of the knife. Second, and the deal breaker that had me return the knife, was they use paper thin and flimsy Teflon blade washers. This is a major fail and really unacceptable in a nearly 100$ knife. They should have used thin bronze washers like 90% of other knives use, even cheap ones!! With a little modding this knife could be awesome. I just was not in the mood to spend that amount and then more time and money.

Oddly worth the price!!
Purchased after seeing some very good reviews and videos... lived up to every expectation! At 1.16 oz. (33g) it is a featherweight for sure but feels solid in the hand. Super thin and stiff for pure carbon fiber scales with no metal subframe visible. The bar lock works well but time will tell if the coil spring (not the familiar "omega" spring setup) is durable. The most difficult part of dealing with this knife is going to be not losing it... I would definitely buy it again... it's not a cheap knife in any respect but considering the design and materials think it is worth the price.

Several issues
I collect a lot of sub-$200 folders. At close to a hundie, this is a little more upscale than usual. Having made knives for 30 years, I feel I understand what quality should be available. What one certainly doesn’t want is a product whose quality is available elsewhere at a much lower price. This knife is worth significantly less than I paid for it. First, despite quite a bit of work on the action, I still can’t get it to flip open without herculean effort. There are grind marks/metal burns up near the tip. There is an actual sharpening flaw at the tip. The knife design is cool. The knife came sharp. It is hard as heck to operate one handed and, at this price point, shouldn’t have left QC with the errors. Caveat emptor. Two stars off for quality.

The cutting edge minimalist answer
The media could not be loaded. This knife is the best light weight minimalist solution I have held in my hands in years. First, it is sharp as a shaving 🪒 razor right out of the box 📦 Second, the knife is completely ambidextrous which is HUGELY important if you actually do find yourself in an emergency situation. Third, it is a minimalist dream: Blade, handle, lock, clip, period the end. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. The technology is there in the material and design, but there are no gimmicks. It is all practicality. Forth the clip and footprint of this blade is comfortable out of pocket in a waistband, a coat pocket, a sleeve, or a sock, and it can transition discretely and rapidly. Finally, if you are familiar with modern folders and have a little skill, this knife will open and close for you like a dream. I would classify this knife as a light duty, urban/ industrial knife that could do some bush craft, but that’s not what it’s meant for. Love it!

Critical design flaw mars an otherwise great knife
When I first got this knife, I fell in love with it. Ultra light weight, super slim, incredible as a discrete knife/money clip. But, and it's a big but, the knife has a design flaw. When you close the knife, the blade hits one of the barrel spacers by the top of the blade, leaving what looks like a chip in the blade itself. The edge of the blade gets dented by the barrel spacer; it is possible to use a honing steel to flatten the dent back out, but it just happens again next time you close the knife. I exchanged the first I bought for a second identical item, and both knives have the same exact behavior. In concept this is an awesome knife, but the design flaw wrecks it, and I'm not honing the blade every time I open and close the knife, so it's going back to Amazon. I've emailed SOG about it as well, but never heard back from them, so unless you are fine with a dent in the blade every time you close the knife, don't buy this.
