Bought for my 5 yo’s birthday. She loved the orbies (keep in mind they take several hours/over night to fully expand), and there were plenty of shells, stars, trees, etc to decorate with. We added a few of our own little toys as well. The blue “sand” is messy as hell and turned our hands blue for the day but scrubbed off at bath time. Definitely recommend playing with this one outside as the sand and orbies inevitability get out if the pool. The inner tube style pool is super handy for future use as it can be deflated and packed away. Kept my girls (5 and 7) busy for a solid 30 minutes, and can be packed up and reused another day.

I was skeptical of this one when it arrived in a small box but my niece loved it and had a blast making it all.

This was a boredom breaker for me & my grandkids (5 & 7; girl/boy) and both had a blast with it! I was surprised when I opened it, to find a baby-shoe box size container but everything was in there & the container is reusable (snap sides & a handle). I blew the pool up, had the kids unwrap all the toys & then started looking for the directions. Nada. Then realized there was a 2-inch sticker on the side of the container, but it was almost completely covered by a product sticker! I used scotch tape to lift that off but it took a LOT of tape! (Great trick!) but the instructions were still very vague, (mix 1/20?!?)!Anyway after that it was time for the sand! Even though the 4 packs were labeled "snow," which was odd, they give you plenty! But it's blue. Which would be great if it didn't turn you, the counter, towels, everything it touched BLUE! They should just use regular sand or white "snow!" It feels wet to the touch all the time & it does get everywhere. It got on the sides of the little pool so every time one of the kids reached in to play, their arms would turn blue.The beads are COOL! They come in such a small little bag, you'd never think it was enough! After I put in the first 3 cups of water (the beads were the size of a pin head), they started to grow! We kept playing, figuring we had HOURS before the beads would be ready. But after about 30 minutes, they were the size of a tic tac. So for poops & giggles, I added more water. (3-4 cups!) I had to get a bigger bowl! They kept growing! Two bowls later they were ready enough for the kids to use & they loved them! In the eewy, gross, cool way kids like! (It felt like sticking your hand in a bucket of brains from the haunted houses we use to go to!) They grew to be about (lg) pea size & the mix of "sea" colors was great. Had I known about the sand, I wouldn't of used it bc the beads were enough!I saw an earlier video with them all over the floor..... and that's accurate if you drop them bc they BOUNCE! Like super balls!Overall, it's terrific entertainment bc it's different, the kids use their imagination, the toys are cute (wish the boats could float though), and my little blue grand-kiddos had fun!So take it outside. Get one if those throw-away plastic table cloths & let em go!Note: You can't put this stuff down your drains, so even clean-up should be done outside.I just bought a second one for my other grand kids! And I WILL be playing with them! 😜

I had some magical ideas of how this sensory item would work out at my daughters 6 year old party. I wish I did a trial run. The blue sand stained the kids hands and one of the kids made it a big mush and threw it all over my yard. I have been picking up water beads out of my grass for almost a month now. They blow up from the rain and the heat melts them. It’s been a painful process.

This is so much fun to create beautiful and entertaining not for children who put things in their mouth

The mermaid set was super cute and perfect for my mermaid obsessed nieces. There were a good variety of mermaids and seashells. The waterbeads were easy to use and perfect for their sensory play.
