Wanted a firetruck with a little plastic as possible. But this Siku model is more than half plastic! The cabin is metal and the rotating part for the ladder. The rest is all plastic. Buyer beware! And to rub it in, the packaging suggests there was once a mostly metal model, before Siku started cutting corners. It states things like "metal + plastic parts" and "Die cast model with plastic parts". If more than half your model is made up of plastic, that's not 'some parts' anymore. That's false advertising. Some product photos don't match either in this respect. Thinking of returning it, but what's the alternative? The competition is either 100% plastic or badly made. At least the design on this one is nice and detailing is good, something lacking in the alternatives I've found so far.
