These are individually wrapped in plastic with a separate baggy of catnip contained within each wrapped cardboard scratch pad. Make sure you throw away the plastic baggy properly and don't let your kitty have it. The product description (and photo) listed this item as " Size:17 x 8.3 x 1.4 inches" In fact, it is 16.5 x 8 x 1.4 inches. I was surprised, because I was expecting something just slightly larger than what I already had. Otherwise I may not have noticed. Anyway, the product details should be accurate. Along the sides of the product is a cute colorful print of cartoon kitties. Cats love sleeping on this, using it as a pillow, scratching, and just sitting here. I've only ever known one cat to not scratch on one of these. So, they are messy but almost a guaranteed win as a gift for your cat.

Every few months I buy a new box of these, the cats love them. Good size, durable, flip it over for a brand new side then when they are used up I pop them into the recycling bin. Sometimes I see one of our two cats stretched out on them, I guess they are comfortable.

I have reordered these a few times. They're great. My cats love them so much. They are perfect for my cat's scratching. The only thing I can see someone being annoyed about it that they don't come with a card housing so the pieces that come off can go everywhere. But in my experience, they have not been annoying at all. They are contained pretty well.

Pretty good value for cat scratchers, but they do not include a box. Their size is a little off for the typical cat scratch boxes that I have, and seem to be common in the United States, so they may slip around in your box as they do in mine .

These are great as long as you have one cat...or maybe it's just our cats. These scratchers come with catnip, which is awesome but they're thin and our cats broke it in half long ways in 3 days. Even with this shortcoming, I'd buy them again because scratchers at the store are stupid expensive for what you get....and, a lot of them don't come with catnip anymore.

This is the best quality scratch board I have purchased till date. Each boards has lasted nearly 2 months. The cat uses it for scratching and often sleeps on it as well. Must buy.
