The Rational Bible: Deuteronomy: God, Blessings, and Curses

Prager's commentaries are a true gift and a blessing to those (I'd say most) of us who have read or skimmed through the Torah without really grasping what we were reading. Dennis has gone to great lengths to explain how the Bible relates to us in the modern times and therefore helps bring the words to life. I have been a follower of Christ for years and never realized how many hidden treasures are ignored in the Hebrew Bible. Pragers' style is very approachable and dare I say is a page turner. I don't know how many commentaries have this distinction. I am so grateful that these books have been written and by having them in my life, I have noticed positive changes in my thinking. I would reccommend these books to anyone who values wisdom. (P.S. Dennis, if you are reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for these books. They have impacted me greatly. I pray for you often and I want to encourage you to call out to Yeshua if you are scared or in trouble. He is the door to Adonai. Blessings!)

Written in a way that allows deep thoughts to be accessible to all of us. When he states his opinion, he’s clear that it’s opinion. I love that he explains the original Hebrew. Prager is a great teacher.

I’ve just completed the third book in this series, and can honestly say that my life has been changed. I was raised as a Christian and received the standard Sunday school training. While not criticizing that training, I can honestly say that I have more knowledge of our Lord God and the Jewish people and religion than I ever would have anticipated. I have such a profound respect for what the Jewish people have done for the world by following the teachings of the Torah and, to all of our benefit, conveyed those teachings outside their religion to the rest of us. Dennis Prager and his team of editors have done God’s work in bringing so much light on a subject that needs to be emphasized and taught at this time. Thank you Lord God for Dennis Prager.

This is the third volume of Dennis Prager's commentary on the Hebrew Holy Books. Very well done!

The details and accompaniments included by the verses have been unbelievably helpful, and reading it feels effortless, like I'm being pulled along or riding a bike down a small hill. I'm a young man, grew up with exposure to religion but outside of the basic judeo-christian umbrella, and ended up leaving the religion I was a part of. I've visited buddhist shrines and hindu temples when I was younger, and they were cool but didn't really click. I got my first copy of this book a while ago now, and ended up gifting it to a friend and buying myself another copy, so I hope you can take that as testimony to the weight of my words saying that this book has had a legitimate impact in my life and in my search for God. Can't recommend it enough.

I've been getting every book in Prager's Rational Bible series and he and I have both enjoyed them immensely.I highly recommend them to Christain and non-christians alike, especially if the Old Testament is difficult for you to understand.

Even with Pragers obvious bias, its still a great book to read.

I bought two Rational Bible books in Kindle version first. Then decided to invest into owning hardcover version. I love the Rational Bible books by Denis Prager!
