Don't do truffles yet but great for garlic.
This tool is good quality and works just as described. I can shave my garlic paper thin with this. It cleans up well and came in a nice cloth storage pouch. It was a good choice.

Awesome for any baker
I'm an amateur cupcake baker, and I like to find opportunities to further my craft. My favors are pretty awesome, so clearly my next realm of concentration would be decoration/presentation. Enter the chocolate shaver.The precision of this slicer is top notch! I was able to get chocolate shavings that curled beautifully and sat nicely on my cupcakes. Instantly more artistic with very little effort!I will caution- as with any chopper/bladed tool- be very cautious while handling. This blade is SHARP! I tried it on some veggies as well (carrots, zucchini, squash, etc.), and they also sliced with ease.Like I said before, my cupcakes have gone to next level without having to put out much effort. Highly recommend for any baker!

Working with chocolate is always rewarding (there are NEVER any 'left over' scraps :)That this goes in the dishwasher is wonderful... no point in getting cut trying to wash it.I am SO going to be using these as Christmas/Holiday and Birthday gifts :)UPDATE! I use this quite a lot (the results are impressive ;)As is often said (I'm sure) 'SO much chocolate and SO little time' :)
