Great pattern, worked really well for what I needed
Easy to follow and adapt for my use. I used this pattern to make a tunic for my son's cosplay costume for his anime convention so I needed to adapt it to a teenage boy and to a two tone tunic, but it was easily adapted and the instructions were very easy to follow. A great pattern and easy to follow. I am an experienced sewer, but even a new sewer should have no problems following the instructions!

Easy pattern, but big on lean people
I'm just shy of 5'8" and lean. My measurements are 37-31-38, which according to the pattern means I should sew the Medium size tunic, but my first mockup with cheap fabric shows that I need to go down at least two sizes; Medium gives me a "batwing" effect which makes it hard to raise my arms. I'm going to try an XS rendition and see how that fits. I'll try to update here when I do.That said, it's an easy pattern. I'll finish some of the edges differently than it suggests, and I don't understand why the instructions say to slit the neckband BEFORE turning it to the outside of the shirt and topstitching it down since the pattern photo shows that the shirt fabric under the neckband is also slit. I'm fairly new to pattern sewing so maybe I'm just missing something, but other newbies will probably find it confusing as well. When I sew the XS I'm planning to mark the back of the neckband slit as before, then stitch through that slit to transfer the guide to the front, then sew the neckband to the shirt on the backside as instructed, then turn it to the right side and topstitch the outside edge and the front neckline around the slit, then slit it along the stitch guide. We'll see how that works. I don't like raw edges so I might also turn those under and blind hem. But first to sew it in a size that doesn't make me look like a WeightWatchers success story.

they are wonderful! One note
I have made 3 tunics so far...they are wonderful! One note, the sizes are bigger than you'd think. Medium was - well, I was swimming in it. I'm 5" but athletic build.

kwik Sew Patterns always fit and go together so beautifully. I also like that the patterns are a heavy paper and not flimsy tissue that always tears.

Kwik Sew K3601 Pull-Over Tops Sewing Pattern, Size XS-S-M-L-XL
I needed a simple top to make rather than a button-down blouse. I thought this was a good idea. I have a whole mess of fabric I can make these in to match my pants I would make of the same material. Should look sharp!
