Saved my life!
My older studio PC could not run UAD plugin or hardware. This enabled me to be able to use their products and has been a lifesaver in the studio. Easy to install and does what it's supposed to do.

Works great on Linux
Avoid the USB cards with VIA chipsets, those are a disaster, both on Windows but expecially with Linux. The chipset on this card however works flawlessly.

It's working with no issues for me.
I'll be honest that I was getting pretty spooked about buying a PCI-E USB 3.0 expansion card on Amazon because most of them had pretty bad reviews. However, this card has been working perfectly fine for me and I'm glad I chose it. It was legitimately plug-and-play with 1 SATA power cable to power it, and I've had no issues with it so far after a few weeks of use.As context, I use these to connect keyboard, mouse, and an external USB hub for other peripherals. I don't connect anything special to it like an Oculus like a lot of the other reviewers.Personally, I don't see why they don't plug less straining peripherals into this hub and plug things like Oculus directly into their motherboards to be safe, but I've never had an Oculus so perhaps there's a reason for it.

Love it once I got it working!
I had intended to put this in a new build I got with Windows 10 on it.. but then I realized the file server I was putting together at the same time (which is an older computer) only had USB 2.0 so I decided to put it in that machine instead since I have a lot of old 2tb USB drives. This older computer runs Windows 7. The computer had no CD/DVD drive so I couldn't put the driver disc that came with it in to run it. But, it seemed (at first) that it had detected the card and installed the drivers for it. I plugged a few things into it and realized it was not working out of the box. So, I went to the website listed on the disc.. well okay I tried to do that but it said www.inateck.de and that didn't do anything so I Googled and found out they are actually https://www.inateck.com - when I found the product on their website I read that you do not need drivers!.. as long as you have Windows 10 (and 8 I believe). Okay, I thought, I don't have Windows 10, where are the drivers for someone in my particular situation? Finally, I noticed them at the way way bottom of the product page itself. There is a support section of the website, but I couldn't find drivers there. I found the drivers on the product itself at the way bottom and the download link didn't specifically even say what operating system it was for. Fortunately, that was what I needed. Once I installed that (and rebooted, don't remember if it said I had to or not but I did reboot) the card was working perfect.I thought I'd note my process in case someone else finds themselves in the same situation as me. This didn't bother me much. I have been doing online driver hunts for products for a very long time. Some companies and websites do a better job than others. This wasn't the best implementation I have seen for providing driver support on a website (seems they are more interested in sales on their website than support as you'll see if you go there, it is very ecommerce geared) but the product itself works fantastic. I have 4x 2tb hard drives attached to to my file server through USB 3.0 and mapped them to my other computers and am getting incredible speeds (compared to what I was getting on my old file server that only had USB 2.0).Worth it. I will be buying another one of these soon for the computer I actually intended to buy it for. My plan was to use this for the Oculus since it needs 3x USB 3.0 ports. I don't even own the Oculus yet though, so I can buy this again later when I am actually trying to do the Oculus setup.
