It works as advertised
I'm a member of a 6 person rock band. Our analogue mixer only has one output for monitors.We use this balanced splitter to create two noise free XLR lines to two power monitors. It works free of noise and without any perceived audible degradation in sound volume and quality. It's a good piece of kit.

Worked properly and came highly recommended.
