I've been experimenting with a lot of supposedly "high-quality" coffees recently, in search of a more affordable alternative to Bulletproof coffee beans, and it looks like I've finally found it here with Zancona's medium roast coffee.I've been a bit of a coffee-addict since I can remember. I used to drink them all, Starbucks, Nespresso, Pete's, Illy, a ton of different local roasters, and even Kirkland, Folgers, Yuban, and Millhouse.I used to power through the first few hours of the morning all charged-up on a few cups of caffeine, only to get jittery and eventually crash before lunch time. No worries, a double espresso, macchiato, or latte after lunch and I was good for another few hours... until the afternoon brain-fog came on, and the inevitable crash set in.Then a friend introduced me to a different class of coffee. A cleaner, higher quality roast without all the mycotoxins found in most coffee on the market (including the big brands). The difference was noticeable immediately. One cup of delicious "clean" coffee in the morning gave me a refreshing stable energy level that lasted right through the day. No jittery highs. No afternoon brain-fog crashing lows. Just a stable sense of clarity and focus that lasts all through the day.Since then I almost exclusively drink Bulletproof coffee, and now Zancona Coffee. Both of these brands taste great, are extremely clean, and give me all the great benefits of a great cup of coffee, without the nasty side effects. Whether doing full-on butter coffee with MCT oil and Collagelatin, or just plain and black, I'm loving Zancona Coffee and just ordered my 3rd bag of it now.

Ordered on August 29 - package shows a roasting date of April 16. Kudos to the company for actually putting a date on the package, but I wish it would be more fresh. Opening the package gave surprisingly little aroma. When brewed in my Aeropress, the coffee does taste VERY GOOD indeed. Can only imagine what it might be if fresher from the roaster.UPDATE: I upgraded this from 3 to 5 stars based on taste. This really is a 5-star coffee if you can get it fresh. It's very aromatic, flavorful, mild to medium strength. My initial impression was mistaken. The beans are surprisingly heavy, suggesting that the aromatic oils are INSIDE (as should be).Kudos to the roaster to put a date on it. Now, if there were a way to get this really fresh, within a week or two of roasting date.... (most others don't put a date at all, so for all we know theirs may have been on the shelves for years....)AMAZON: PLEASE MAKE THIS AVAILABLE AGAIN. I WANT TO ORDER MORE !!!

This very same coffee was ordered before on October 8th 2016. In the previous order when you open the package you could smell the aroma, and after the first sip you could feel the great taste and the beautiful, mellow ,smooth flavor. The coffee tasted as a very very good medium roast coffee.This time we got a flat,run of the mill, totally mediocre beans that made the experience unpleasant and the seller claims untrue.All the elements previously experienced were missing.I don't know what went wrong with this batch, but seller you should pay closer attention to your quality control.We will try to return it and see what the seller says.Very disappointed.

I always buy roasted beans as opposed to pre-ground. I'm sorry to state that I really don't remember it's flavor, which in fact is a good sign, because it wasn't bad. My bad because it was a medium roast and I like a more robust roast, just without the bitterness. This coffee is a good "later in the afternoon" kind of coffee.....The flavor was fine, no bitterness. I have been searching for the perfect coffee that I will always enjoy and this is one of many that I have ordered and tried.

Fantastic Coffee! Having traveled to Panama, I was enamored with the delicious coffee there. I brought a small amount home but missed the mellow, rich beans I had when I was there. I looked around on the internet to try to find one of the brands I recognized from my trip and found they were not available. I ordered 2 bags of this and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious and how I remembered the small roastery coffees in Panama to taste. My daughter who lived in Panama for a few months concurs. Will be ordering more! My only criticism would be that I would prefer a more recent roast date but even a few months ago roasted is fresher than anything anyone will find in a market in the US. Supporting the Kuna Yala community is definitely a plus for us as well.
