**** I just got a new Macbook Air, and the microphone is working on the new one. So I have added another star. However, I cannot hear anything from the Mac while the microphone is plugged in. Any tips to fix this would be appreciated. ****The quality seems to be very good, and it came in a velvet bag with extra ear plug foam, which was nice.However, it's not working on my older MacBook Pro when I insert it into the mic input. The Mac doesn't seem to pick up audio from it at all.Does it need some type of adaptor?

As a video producer, I need equipment that sounds good and will last a long time. This is one of those inexpensive items you can count on to outlast most of the other junk you end up paying good money for.Without going into all kind of elaborate detail comparing a mic that cost $10 to a more expensive model, but I could...Let me tell you what it is:1. A great sounding mic that has a pretty full range considering its cost, and very comparable to any analog mic ranging from $50-$1002. Compact and portable even comes with a bag (yes the velvet ones that attract all kinds of things)3. Plenty of cord length to get through clothing for cover and concealment,4. Has a very sturdy steel clip, not some plastic crap. Not only that, they give you an extra one!5. Two extra foam wind/pop covers (3 total)6. Even comes with a jack converter for TRS->TRRS7. You're still reading this? Why haven't you purchased one yet?This is a prosumer quality mic all the way, while I probably wouldn't use a budget-style mic for a high-profile production, I would certainly use it for everyday recordings that aren't particularly mission-critical. Though without full-on use in a professional environment, I'd say anything of this quality beats out standard onboard equipment supplied by the manufacturers of laptops and some smartphones.Kudos to ttstar on this one. Great product. Especially for something under $10 bucks!

Arived quickly worked a few times and no longer is working in any device. Shippi.gand everything else was good. But product itself is not good.

This mic has it all! Came in a nice nylon pouch along with: an angled TRS 3.5mm jack, an extended TRRS 3.5mm long adapter, and it's stock TRRS 3.5 - 5 ft cable, 2 extra foam tips, and a spare metal clip. I was pretty amazed at the sound coming from this mic. It's an omnidirectional mic which means that it picks up your voice in any direction while eliminating unwanted noise. Sound was clear as if HD. Price is right for beginner podcasting or just doing YouTube vids. I used it on Skype on my desktop and the people on the other end asked what I was doing to make the sound so clear and sharp. Works on both android and iphone but for newer models without headphone jacks you will need the lightning to 3.5mm adapter (which was not included). It doesn't mention anything about warranty but so far I'm was very impressed with this mic and hope that it lasts. Thanks

This little lav mic gets 5 stars from me. For 7.99 i must say i am actually impressed. Now i dont really care for the felt pouch... however the mic itself, has incredibly clear audio, is actually all metal and certainly keeps most background noise to a minimum. Now heres why it gets five stars; it shipped and got to me in 24 hours, the audio is cleaner than my last lav mic which cost $50, it is metal, the clip stays put, its light weight, came with trrs to trs cable, cost 8 bucks! And the wind screens are not those chinsey ones that tear apart if you try to remove them. Im in love with this tt-star mic. Will be ordering more.Now please understand, the flat black paint on the mic housing does make it look like plastic however i can assure you all, it is metal.These are the perfect budget film microphones.No, i was not paid to say this or given the product for review. Just a normal person that is thoroughly impressed. Thank you tt-star for having a great product.

Doesn't pick up the sound that great if the speaker moves their head while talking

Bought 10 of these for middle school students to use with ipad airs to record video book talks. Sound was much improved with the mics, they were simple plug-and-play, and none were defective. The cord could be a little longer, as students tend to yank them a bit in use and I hope they don't start to short. But over all very pleased. They also arrived quickly with Prime account.

Update:This is indeed garbage. Doesn't actually take sound inputs to the device being used to capture sound, be it mobile, audio recorder, or camera. This thing doesn't work. Anything that comes up in the interim, is pure coincidence. I ended up realising that the sound the samples were picking up was actually my phone mic.-------------------Initially I thought this is a waste of money cuz the mic wasn't being picked up by my phone during video recording. Later I tried it with my DSLR with the provided L cable and it worked flawlessly. Then I read on the manual that if the mic doesn't work on your phone, you gotta hook it up with the silver colored adapter and that plugs onto your phone. After trying that, it worked like a charm!

I bought this lapel microphone in May 2021 after a friend advised me it was good quality. I used it for 6 months without any issues, recording about 75 vlogging videos. The sound was great. Then suddenly in December of 2021, it just stopped working. Instead of recording my voice, it only recorded hissing sounds. It wasn't from lack of care either, it was always safely stored away when not in use. I'm purchasing another one today with fingers crossed that it will last longer!

I'm really pleasantly surprised with the sensitivity of this microphone and pick-up quality. I will use this for video - the cord is long enough for the purpose and I won't worry about stepping over it. Quality clamp.If you're new to microphones and smart phones, you may need to try the adapters to ensure the microphone is recognized as the recording device. There are no instructions provided.This microphone would also be perfectly sufficient for podcast recording. Hard to beat the price when you consider the quality of the sound.

I am happy with this mic. I use it for recording and producing videos about 2xs a week. It is clear. I have not had any problems. For my videos, it is mounted over and dropped down like a boom mic. That helps me to eliminate having to put it on each time. The cord is dependable. Great buy!

This product was recommended to me by our strata management company for meeting remotely, due to the Covid virus. When I tried to use it in May, it did not work. Today, that same fellow from the strata management came by to help me (he used to build computers), he agreed that this product was completely not working. Please advise.
