Penned as a study guide but a truly enlightening walk through the big book.
Succinct, to the point and funny. This AA guest is a gifted writer and easily explains the 12 steps in the Big book, with integrity and just a few, though not irreverent ‘manifestations!I used this guide and needed it! When the big book was just too heavy going, this guide got me through, to the end. Much gratitude.

Change your attitude and you can change your life.
A book all could live by regardless if they are alcoholic or not.

Sorry folks I found this really hard going, it was wrote so long ago it really needs updating to reflect today's society. I know the AA has done some fantastic work and still doing so, but the suggestion that alcoholism is a disease is rubbish for me, I believe its a genetic predisposition which is inherited, it is not something you catch! It a habit which is reaffirmed and ingrained more and more every time you have a drink and it can be stopped, hard work I know but it can be stopped.

Practical, down-to-earth, very helpful, highly recommended
Written in a plain, personable voice, these guides speak clearly and simply about "effective" implementation of the 12 Steps of AA. I'm reminded of a few game-changing one-on-one, over-coffee conversations I've had with other people who were trying to get, and stay, sober - for real.Hadn't had a conversation like that in way too long.I first bought the Step 3 guide, to see, and went ahead and bought the full 12 Step set, (at 50% off !,) because I liked what the Step 3 guide had to offer, and wanted to look at the Step 2 guide next. In for a penny...The Step 2 guide is, for me, real practical and real relevant. 32 years clean doesn't automatically translate to serenity, and I found strong support in this guide to where I would rather be in that regard. Got that still, soft sense of hope, again. That's been a while, too.Whether the other 10 guides will be as applicable, at this point, I am real glad I stumbled across them.

You have to read this ...
I'll start by saying I truly like the author. He knows what he is talking about and has the experience to back it. He is down to earth with the subject matter and does not sugar coat it at all. "If you want what we have ... Do what we do" is how the saying goes and He has done just that.I would love to see it along with the other individual 12 steps come out in Hard Copy. I would start a group using this as a vital tool.Being sober for over 35 years and reading this brings me back to the days of the true "Old Timers".FIVE STARS !!!!!!!Bill B.
