I was pretty skeptical at first when I saw this product for a number of reasons. Obviously, there are some concerns about the way it fits on the car rack. The second, was because of the price. Often you hear the phrase, you get what you pay for. And third, I was unsure how durable this product would be, and I was concerned it would fall apart while transporting my kayaks to the lake. Well, I have to say I am extremely impressed with these kayak racks. They are extremely durable, easy to put together and equally easy to mount to my car. I was concerned it would not fit my crossbar, but was Pleasantly surprised when it only took me five minutes to put on my car. You can see by the pictures in my review how nice these racks fit on my crossbar. I’m actually really excited about this purchase and Love that I can easily take these on and off when I wanna get out to the lake. The only Concern I have with this purchase are with the straps. The straps themselves seem to be durable, but the buckle does not seem to hold very well. I would definitely look into a higher quality, locking mechanism type buckle. Overall, I think this was a great purchase and an incredible price.

I love these racks! The are very sturdy and a great value for the price I paid. Fit my car great and went on easily. Both my kayaks felt safe and secure on the car while driving an hour. Haven't taken them for a longer trip yet, but I am confident that they would do fine. Got some scratches on them already from my ratchet straps, but haven't noticed any rust so far.

Easy to install, even for someone who did not know what the heck she was doing. I have used them to transport my kayaks a number of times and the hooks work great! The straps, however, are not adequate at all. They aren't ratchet straps, just little straps that pull through some metal teeth. They are flimsy and don't allow you to tighten them as much as necessary.

I bought this set of 4 kayak J racks from Amazon and the fabricator is Leader Accessories. Excellent racks for my two 10-feet long Pelican Bandit kayaks, 30 inch wide. Easy installations, all the parts matched. I can enter perfectly in my regular 2-car garage in Florida with all 4 racks mounted on top of my 2007 Toyota Highlander. Still have 2 inches distance to the opened garage door. I tested the racks from the store to my house the racks with the kayaks mounted and they were very stabile. Thanks.

Worked well for Toyota Tacoma for Old Town fishing kayaks. Just had to change J braces a little different.
