Not the best for the price
I would not recommend this uke, even for a beginner....it is pretty, however the craftsmanship is not very nice and it is almost unplayable due to buzzing strings and sloppy fret jobs....It might be ok as a toy, however, I would suggest spending a little more money to get a more playable instrument such as a Makala Dolphin.

Great!
My 15 year old daughter learned how to play this on YouTube in less than a week. After tuning, it has a really nice sound. She is having a lot of fun with it and can do all the chords and plays whole songs. I am very pleased with this purchase for a beginner.

Item recieved cracked
I ordered this in November, and just gave it as a gift in Feb. After it was opened by my husband, we noticed that there is a significant crack on the left side of the instrument. Otherwise it is just what I had hoped for. Unfortunately the return window for this item was Jan. 31st so I am not able to exchange it. I'm really dissapointed.

Great price and is a great product.
My son loves this Uk. He plays it on the bus when going to Swim meets. It's super durable and is still in great condition.

Nice Ike gut the price. Sounds good . You will love the sound I know I do. It is for my daughter she is 11. A good starter for someone that is just learning

Excellent!
Considering the price, this is excellent. Think of it as a really good toy -- I bought it for my 3 yr old daughter and she loves it! Stays in tune and sounds great!

Sounded terrible, I think would be good for very small kids only.

Won't hold a tune.
It's fairly well made for a cheap Chinese ukulele, and the sound is nice, but it won't hold a tune for very long. I bought professional strings at a music store to see if the strings made a difference. They did sound and feel better, but the cheap tuners still weren't able to keep the ukulele in tune. If I played for about 30 seconds straight, it would be out of tune. I might try replacing the tuners with better ones and see if that works.
