Didn’t work
It’s 9 gear stop working so I can’t adjust it

Works great for making small gearbox housings- need to use conductive metal!
This product is phenomenal for the purposes I'm using it for. I've been trying to find something like this to bind metal sheets together to house gearboxes, and this works GREAT. It has nine levels of power, which allows for flexibility of the tool in different projects.Be wary- the ninth power level can burn a hole in thin metal sheets. use lower power levels- maybe work from the lowest one and work your way up until you find a weld that is right for your project.I've tried using this on aluminum-brass sheets, and it does not bind. After a little experimenting, it seems that it only binds highly conductive materials (like NOT aluminum-brass alloys- this welder does work on the idea of arc-welding). I've used it on nickel strips, iron, and copper sheets, and it works! There are probably more professional ways to bind small materials (soldering, epoxy resin, etc.), but this way does work. Regardless, I'm loving this little buddy!

Failed within 100 welds. Could only properly complete about 30 per charge
The media could not be loaded. First let me say, I have years of experience working with 18650 cells. Thought I would give this welder a try. For the first few welds it seemed to be a good little unit. Then it began to heat up, failed to weld. Charged it over night. Next day. Same issue. Tried different setting, still not capable. Charged it overnight again. Next day same issue. 30 good welds, then failure. It actually went into an alarm mode. Charged it, tried different settings, stayed in alarm mode. Green LEDs stayed on, even when shut off. Returned it.Word to the wise. There is no such thing as an inexpensive welder that works. I tried many different nickel strips with the unit , hoping to give it a fair shot. This is the forth budget welder I have tried. None of them perform in a manner you could use them as a reliable tool. IMHO , save your money, buy one of the better, more expensive units. You’ll be better off in the long run

This little spot welder rocks!
I normally don’t write reviews but I had to in this case after seeing the negative comments saying it won’t weld the metal strip it came with. For anyone doubting if it’s powerful enough, don’t worry it’ll handle welding your battery connections without breaking a sweat. I used it to replace batteries in several Dremel rotary tools that didn’t have replaceable batteries and it worked like a charm on the 3rd power setting. For kicks, I just now welded the handle back on a stainless steel measuring cup that fell off while my wife was baking. I used the highest power setting, but probably could have used a lower one, and it worked like a champ. I’ve included a picture of the measuring cup holding a 16.9 ounce full bottle of water to show that the fix is as good as new.

A reluctant 3-star rating. Should be higher.
I purchased this BIFRC DH20 PRO spot welder for battery pack welding. I reluctantly give it a 3-star rating as it should be 4-stars based on performance and, perhaps, it would have earned higher with more experience. The rating was downgraded due to a manufacturing letdown. The photo shows that the holes in the face plate do not align with the four green and three red diodes on the PCB. This made it very difficult to be certain of the welding power setting or the battery charge setting, respectively. How this passed QA/QC inspection is a mystery. The unit performed well on initial testing. It very successfully welded nickel tabs of 0.12mm and 0.15mm to a 18650 battery at 'gear 3' setting. It also welded 0.18mm tabs firmly at gear 5 setting. By firmly, I mean that the tab teared on removal. I tested power settings through gear 9, however, I found it unnecessary to use higher than gear 5 for the tabs I had on hand (0.18mm max).I cannot say how the unit would perform in the long-term, or if it would successfully weld 0.20mm tabs as I returned it for a refund. The company was responsive to a message and they offered to compensate me partially for the issue. Having to decipher the pattern of the 9 gear settings in particular through the PCB face plate was too much of a nuisance.I liked the performance so much that I may reorder and hope not to have the same problem. I opened the unit. It has a branded BIFRC PCB that's nicely made, and it appears to be high quality. There are other BIFRC DH20 PRO welders offered on Amazon from other sellers. Be advised that there are counterfeit units for sale (ask me how I know). I'd recommend opening the unit to inspect the PCB. Be careful and make certain it's turned off! Good luck.

IT WORKS
As with anything, follow the proper operating instructions. I charged up the unit when I got it and proceeded to welding. On level 3, my spot welds were so strong that it ripped the nickel strip when I tried to peel it off. Amazing for such a small unit. These welds are not coming off. Love it really.

Top notch quality, easy to use, and it works!
Very nicely packaged with rubber protectors on both ends of cables to prevent damage and/or oxidation. Rubber plugs for probe inputs on unit as well. Simple user interface to dial up higher or lower power. Probes are very high quality and appear to be replaceable. Works as advertised for batteries.
