It a good multimeter.
This is great for using on a boat because it reads DC voltage and amps. I have two of them and never had a problem. There are some bad reviews about erratic voltage readings but those are milivolts and only show up when there isn’t voltage.

Erratic false readings
AC and DC ranges do not zero ! There is no adjustment.Worse yet, the false readings wander erratically.This meter is too unreliable for any serious user.

Sperry DSA660
Volt-ohm-ammeter looks good in the toolbox. All I have to do now is practice and figure out all of its features. Too cold this winter to monkey around with electricity.

As soon as you turn it on it's reading voltage, and numbers constantly changing
Reading voltage when it's not connected to anything is bad enough, and I thought I would just have to get used to constant changing numbers instead of a blank screen or zero's, but then when used on a job it reported voltage where there was none. Luckily I had my old tester with me or I might have spent hours trying to figure out where the voltage was coming from. Sent it back. Maybe it was just defective.

I have this meter for 5-6 yrs now still going strong any 1 who thinks it copped out u must have gotten a bad apple of the bunch. mine is not true r-m-s like it says on meter. but all in all it reads really good 4 me and works well battery has not failed me yet. I saw this be 4 I new about amazon my favorite online place at least 1 of them. I got mine from menards 4 $59.99 with case and it is my fave of ac/dc volt and amp meters 4 an inexpensive 1 If u treat this meter right then it works but if it came ad works defective take it back and get another or a refund. It is not a bad tool 4 this or price I paid 4 it. 4 the not so wallet or pocket breaker get this and try 1 if u think u had a bad one or 1 that failed ask 4 a replacement or a refund
