Nice extra usb slots
I like that I can place it on my desk with the clamping mechanism so I set this up on the back part of my desk and since my desk it black, it blends in perfectly and sometimes I forget it’s even there. Great little device to have extra usb ports and have no issues with connectivity. It feels really durable too.

Perfect!
This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to try to minimize how many cables I had running to the back of my PC since they’re almost all gaming related. This was the answer to that. Insanely easy setup. Mount it where you want it on your desk and then plug it in. The quality is impeccable. It works great. I haven’t had a single connection issue yet. The price is fair. The cable it comes with isn’t the longest, so that could be an issue for some. I’d buy again if I find the need for more USB’s on top.

ORICO USB 3.0 HUB, Monitor-Edge and Desk-Edge USB 3.0 4-Port Clip-Type Hub
This is a functional device, probably best used as a portable option. The supplied USB 3 data cable is very high quality and well insulated. A micro usb power cable and power supply are not provided with the purchase. The device I received powered two 4TB WD Elements USB 3.0 drives without using the additional power input. From a late December 2015 iMac (max spec), I simultaneously ran a Time Machine backup to one drive and a CCCloner file transfer to another. Both were a few hundred MB of various media files, mostly music, the Time Machine backup was slightly larger. I ran this type of transfer three times over two days. I did not benchmark the transfers. Regardless, the simultaneous transfers were successful without additional power. This is an anecdotal functionality test. I did not test extended duration transfers.Personally, I wouldn't use this for a permanent USB solution, but I suppose one could. I prefer dedicated bracket or rack mounted powered industrial USB for permanent hubs.Mounting Jaw Width x Depth - (overall product length is 3.5 inches)1.25in x 3/8in - with thumbscrew end-cap1.50in x 3/8in - without end-capThe end-cap is threaded and easily removed, it is 1/4 inch diameter of middling quality and manufacture. The mounting option on this devices is a great concept but a bit dodgy in implementation. The trough or jaw depth is shallow at only 1cm or about 3/8in. Max width with the thumbscrew rubber end cap is 1.25 inches. Removing the threaded end-cap gives a very tight 1.5 inch width. Given that it's shallow depth at 1cm, it's not a very stable or secure mounting option. It doesn't provide a solid bite. If using a permanent screw instead of the rubber end cap and thumbscrew there's only about 3/16 to 1/8 inch with which to work. The jaw is bare metal, aluminum, no polymer or rubber lining.Irrespective of using the end-cap or not, the shallow jaw depth prevents a solid bite and secure fixed mount. A 2cm or 2.54 cm ( 1 inch ) jaw depth would provide a more secure and stable mount. An adjustable sliding bracket or flange instead of a rubber end-cap would probably be better. It's a good device, minus one star for the shallow jaw depth. Worth the money. The solid aluminum housing and micro usb power port are definite advantages (usb c would be better). I may purchase another. It will go in one of my computer bags or backpacks, possibly with a second one in a car or truck.

Rock solid
I use my Macbook Pro to import digital image via XQD reader to an external hard drive and then process via Lightroom and export to a second external hard drive. My laptop only has two usb ports and one of them is taken by a Bluetooth dongle for a mouse. Few things are as frustrating as getting the message that your drive, while you are in the middle of using it, was improperly ejected, due to an unsteady connection through a sloppy USB hubr, requiring me to wait 30 minutes for my Mac to test and reload the drive. I keep this hub clamped to a bookshelve next to my reclining chair and can comforatbly and confidently work with all the peripherals I need connected with no fear of mishap. The hub stays put and the usb connections are tight. Very good fit and finish. My only regret is that it is not externally powered as I suspect that sometimes my laptop is not supplying adequate power to run three drives at once.

Acceptable value
Does exactly what it says it does. Though I wish that it came with a longer USB cable and the power cable. It does work perfectly fine for both charging and data without the power cable.

Easy and Convenient
Great for managing USB ports. No more fishing around on your device to find a USB port. This is handy yet out of the way. And truly easy plug and play for my keyboard / mouse receiver. Definitely a good purchase.

If I could add 1/2 star, I would... just not really 4 stars but close, for me
I ordered 1 for my bench workstation in my lab, Pi5 bolted to the back of the monitor. Had a single 1/2 of a golf ball weighted USB extension dubebily boba thingy floating around on the bench. So can plug a thumb drive in or what ever without reaching around to the back of the monitor to get to the PIAnnoying.Saw this , thought great, instead of 1, have 4 usb ports. And clamp it to the side of the monitor. GREAT.IT is as advertised, but my older monitor is too thick.I had some U channel laying around, hacked off a piece and using black RTV, glued/RTVed the section of U to the top of the monitor, next day, bob's your uncle, could clamp this on well and securely.Worked great.I see others are clamping it to metal frames of desks and such, only one showing it on the end of a monitor.Ordered a 2nd one for my workstation on my office. The nice shiny slick plastic, the tighter you make the clamp, the more is slides off , slowly. The foamy rubbery gobblely gook on the hub just doesn't adhere to the slick plastic. Not enough stiction. There seems to be a minor taper to the plastic case on the monitors too, make sense for molding. And the plastic isn't as firm as the metal, has give.Just can't hold. No stiction from the foamy parts. So cleaned it all with IPA, took out the black RTV again, RTV the darn thing to the bottom end of the main monitor. Tighten the clamp slightly, also stacked some of my business cards (good for something) under it to help use the weight of the monitor to hold the usb port module up and against the bottom edge of the monitor frame. It Adhered well over night, now in service. Very slim. And no usb hubs floating around on the desk or work bench. But needed RTV to implement.
