Will these belts fit a pre-1960s Kirby?

No I don’t think so. I believe you can go to the official Kirby website and click older model belts.

Is the lettering on the belt white or gold? i find the gold lettering ones to be very bad quality

It says 1960 to date. just to be sure i entered Kirby G10 into the check if it fits search and it says it does.
