Does the rubber (silicon) portion pull away or tear easily like the oem dk-29? hoping these are more durable...

Yes. My oem fell off and I replaced it with this because oem was sold out at the time. This never tore, but the fit wasn't as good, the hard plastic wobbled while in place and eventually fell off like the oem did (I carry my camera sling style and the eye piece bumps against my hip alot). I bought the oem again and am much happier than with aftermarket but its good to have a spare just in case since I've already lost 2. The most durable silicone part I've noticed is on the long eyecup but that sticks out too far for my liking for most situations, (it is very comfortable though).

Can i use this for nikon Z50?

No, this eyecup won't fit the Z50. Search on Amazon, Electronics, Nikon Z50 eyecup and you will find several that will fit. I can recommend the JJC brand as those are the replacements I get.
