I've been looking for xarope de guarana ever since I left Brazil in 2010, but the only ones I ever found cost their weight in gold. It was extremely disappointing to not be able to make a proper açaí na tigela. But then I stumbled across this one and it changed my whole summer. You can pick up the açaí pulp at Trader Joes nowadays (it seems to be gone from Costco), and the guarana syrup is the last piece of the puzzle. People who tout açaí made from honey or condensed milk or any of that other nonsense are simply deluding themselves... you absolutely need guraná syrup to give it that genuine brasileiro flavor and strangely effective pick-me-up! I hope this stuff stays available because summe is coming again and I need my açaí!

Makes plain water a treat
Repeat buyer here. I always have this in refrigerator, it's my 'go to' when I want flavored water. A splash, and it makes plain water a treat.

Does not have the consistency of syrup
This is not guarana syrup, they mix with water, I bought another brand and made a comparison, any syrup is thick due to the concentration of the material and this syrup is not thick.
