Classic Chess Set - For Ages 7 Years and Up

Luckily I got all the correct pieces but the plastic at the bottom of them is imperfect, some of them are wobbly and not flat because of residual plastic which I’ll try to file off with sandpaper. Pain in the butt but it’s functional. The board is pretty much as good as you can get without being wood, it’s sturdier than I thought it would be based on the reviews. Overall it’s fine, more geared towards kids just because of the piece quality but for someone who isn’t an avid player it works, and it’s certainly the cheapest set I’ve found.

This is perfect for a first chess board for my son. It is cheap and lightweight, but it has all the pieces and basic movement instructions.

Not something you are going to hand down to your descendants or anything, but a great little set for the beginner in the family, lightweight and good for a camper or other mobile adventure.

Good inexpensive set for the early chess learner. Our grandchild is seven and she is thrilled to have her own chess set.

While the pieces were small and easily tipped over, they served the purpose in teaching a 7 year old the game. Great Value - Not for use in international chess tournaments!
