I finally tried Pimpernel placemats--got the 'Dogwood' design, and am totally happy with the look and quality of them. Wish I had gotten these years ago!

These placemats are gorgeous. Well made and thick. I believe they will last long time if I am careful to only wipe down top with soft cloth and water.

The product description indicated that it was a spring dogwood placemat & coaster set so I was disappointed that the coasters were not included! I have the baroque tulips design (no longer available) and it was a set as described. The placemats are attractive with a cork-backing that lasts. These placemats are easy to clean with a damp non-scratch sponge and do not lose their shiny surface or feel sticky when wet. They are large (15.7" x 11.7"), heavy duty, and heat resistant. They are expensive but good quality.

I've spent a fortune on place mats. I haven't found anything that cleans well. So many discarded place mats with spots that won't come out. These are easy to clean, quite sturdy, and beautiful. It was difficult to find a Pimpernel design that blended well with my table and decor (if you can call what I have decor), but these are a home run.

These are nice and actually sturdier than a set I purchased a few years ago at a bedding store. The picture is as shown and very pretty. There was a bit of the smell people complained about but as soon as I opened them and set them out, it dissipated.

The design is better in person. Very nice and works to protect my table. Reason I knocked off 1 star is one of the mats already has cork peeling off the back. Not serious but considering the high price for these mats Update*** After 4 months of normal use, edges are all chipping off. For over $10 per place mat, that is unacceptable

Über viele Jahre habe ich auschließlich Textil-Setdeckchen verwendet. Es lässt sich nicht vermeiden, dass diese relativ schnell verschmutzen, Die Entscheidung für die Pimpernel Tischsets war eine sehr gute. Sie sind sehr dekorativ, nach meinem Eindruck vom Material sehr gut und sorgfältig gefertigt. Die Reinigung - abwischen mit einem feuchten Tuch - ist sehr praktisch und schnell durchgeführt. Es entfällt das Waschen und Bügeln der Stoffsets. Inzwischen hat sich meine Haushaltshilfe, der diese Tischsets sehr gut gefielen, auch dafür entschieden.

I needed to replace an older, worn set of corkboard placements and surprisingly, it is really difficult to find a set of corkboard placements (especially rectangle shape) in the stores in my area. I looked for months without success. So I was thrilled to see this set on Amazon. I will admit I hesitated at the price, because it was more than I wanted to spend, but at the end of the day, I needed something. I was really pleasantly surprised how thick and sturdy these corkboard placements are, they are twice the thickness of the cheap kind you may find in Winners/ Marshalls/ Dollar Store. They have a weight to them that also indicates how well made and durable they are. The design is also more vibrant than in the photos on Amazon. My Italian mother had a fit when she heard how much I spent on these corkboard placements, but when she saw them she agreed it was worth every dollar. We've used these placements daily since I purchased them, and they remain in perfect condition. There is no tearing at the corners, or peeling anywhere, we wipe them down after each meal with a very light damp cloth, and that's it for care and maintenance. This was one of my best purchases, in my opinion

Sehr schöne dekorative Unterlagen, von denen man bei guter Pflege wirklich lange haben kann. Die Kork-Unterseite sollte man vielleicht nicht gerade mit viel Feuchtigkeit in Verbindung bringen und allgemein nicht zu großer Hitze aussetzen.

The design on the placemats is exactly as shown online. They are nice and thick and very sturdy! I’ve had cork mats in the past that are very thin. Very pleased with my purchase.
