Much needed for a grip. Fits very well, isn't too heavy (if you care), and provides a ton of mounting options. I mostly shoot handheld and I was looking for something to improve the a6400's small grip, and this helped out a ton. You can also get a different grip but the rubber works just fine and is durable. It also doesn't get in the way of any of the camera's functions and the simple key design helps to remove it quickly if you need to. Couldn't ask for more.

This Smallrig cage with hand grip for the Sony a6100 is a must have! There are plenty of mounts along the cage so you won’t have any issues setting up your camera rig. At first I was hesitant about the larger silicone grip but I would definitely recommend getting a cage with the grip. It makes the camera comfortably fit better in your hands especially since the Sony APSC camera are a bit small. It’s very easy to mount to your camera with the built in magnetic tool. The solid aluminum build will help protect your camera from random bumps. Absolutely worth it!

Build quality is 10/10. The added grip adds a perfect touch to the functionality. The design is perfect for mountability. Fits perfect in my a6400. Easy to access the battery.

Bought this for my A6400. Even tho it does make the camera bigger and bulkier, and heavier, i do like having the extra options for attachments and a little added safety in case of drops. Looks good. Attaches fairly easily, tools are included in the cage. Feels like good quality. Worth it, especially if you want to do shoots and attach a light or something in a different location than what the camera has.

This fits perfect on my sony a6400. I have big hands so the added grip is perfect. The slight added weight makes it feel like a brand new camera. I would definitely reccomended this cage.

This makes the a6400 feel so much better in your hand, but there are a few issues that make this fall a little short from perfect.To set your expectations, I am not a videographer, I am not using the cold shoes or any other attachments, except for the smallrig hand grip, which works perfectly once you loosen it enough to allow your hand to reach the shutter.The main problem I'd love to see solved is with some details of the grip itself. It has two holes on the front: one near the bottom, for the screw that holds the grip in place (why couldn't they put it on the underside?), and one so the grip doesn't block (what I assume is) the IR remote sensor. These two holes have somewhat sharp edges, and they are mildly uncomfortable over long periods of use. Furthermore, the fact that the top of the grip is not held in place by a screw gives me durability concerns. Finally, the screw used to hold the grip is not the same size as the one holding the camera in place through the strap anchor, so the tool used to attach the camera to the cage won't help if you need to make adjustments to the grip on location.The other issue is that the grip puts your fingers closer to the lens, and if you have thicker fingers and a fast lens, there's a lack of real estate and your ergonomics will be compromised. My average fingers get stuck on the Sigma Art 28-70 f2.8.Depending on your personal ergonomics preferences and the way you use the camera, these may not be an issue for you. It's a solid product, and I would recommend it to almost anyone.

Great improvement for Sony A6100. I wish I bought it as soon as I bought my camera, it improves the grip x100.
